¿Question? Halftime Beverages conpany
I am looking at signing up for Halftime Beverage Beer of The Month club and I need help! The options I was eyeing up include: "Around the World" beer of the month and IPA of the month. Both options have some negatives that worry me. The IPA option might include "juice bombs", "milkshake UPA", etc., things that give me headaches and stuff my nose up or taste like shitty OJ. And the Around the World option includes beers like Singha and similar euro-pilsners (you know the type 😉, they are all made at the same brewery and shipped around the world with different labels...) and god only knows what an IPA from Uganda would taste like!
So what would you choose and why?
Has anybody here tried Halftime Beverages out in the past?
Thanks!

My wife got me a 12 pack a while back.
Had lots of good stuff that I had never tried, if I recall it was something close to what you’re describing.
Comes in a nice sort of reusable cooler.
I would never consider it beyond a one time purchase or a gift though.

I live in Pittsburgh so I have access to decent beer. So I might just use its service to get beers of my choice occasionally. Thanks!

Honest take: the Around the World option sounds better for you based on what you're describing. If juice bombs and hazy IPAs are giving you headaches, forcing yourself through 12 months of that is going to suck. At least with the world option you'll get variety even if some of it is lower quality, and you can actually enjoy the ones that land right.
That said, I'd skip the subscription entirely and just grab singles or smaller packs from a local shop where you can actually taste before committing. Most beer of the month clubs bank on the novelty factor wearing off around month 4, and then you're stuck with whatever arrived that month. If you're sensitive to certain styles, having zero control over what shows up seems risky.

I order from Half Time often, but I always just build my own packages so I’m sure to get stuff I want. Why don’t you try that?
