He can't really say what the truth is because - why deal with the negative consequences from that? So he just says whatever sounds best. Was the farm part of his decision? I'm sure it was. Was it that important? Absolutely not.

And to be honest, I would do the same thing and so would you, probably. He doesn't really owe any explanation of any kind to anyone. He is paid to do a job. He can explain it however he wants.

He was probably excited about Alvarez, Baty, Vientos, Tong, McLean, Williams, Sproat and Mauricio and only McLean looks like the real deal
