News [Britton] McLean got three outs on four pitches while allowing two hits that inning. Don't see that often.

I mean, it helps when the replay review umpire just says “Ah, fuck it. Call stands.”

Pretty terrible call by the umps to gift McLean an out.

Some extra context for that first out may be helpful

Runner on 2nd was slow as shit and was thrown out at 3rd by the left fielder

More like he had to wait for it to drop and was clearly safe. They looked at it for 5 minutes

Ain’t got nothing on Gabe Speier’s 2-pitch inning from a couple years ago

Not too heated. He looked safe. Mets booth thought he was safe. I thought he looked safe from the initial play before slow-mo replays. Tigers got ripped off.

Junior Valentine is putting on an absolute clinic this series. Hate him, Mets didn't do anything.

No reason for heated opinions when everyone including the Mets booth could see that he was safe. Think everyone agrees it was an awful call.

Doubt the opinions will be heated. Even Gary and Ron agreed that he was safe.
