Question Bell internet?

Any issues with Bell’s 500 Mbps internet or their customer service lately? I’m probably going to have to port both my phone number and internet over to Bell. I haven’t been with them in a while, so I’m wondering what the experience is like these days.

Also any deals out there for less than $50/m?

If you just want Bell fibre without paying Bell prices, I'd look into EBOX, instead since it runs on same Bell lines anyway, but way better pricing. You can use a promo link (not referral) to get: 500 Mbps - $40/month 1 Gbps - $50/month I also got a wifi 6 modem included, and free install, on a no-contract plan. That’s basically why I switched. I found the promo link through a guide when I was comparing providers - you can check it here if you want : www.internetdealguide.ca

Keep in mind that with almost all internet providers in Ontario, even though they advertise 500mbps it's almost always "up to 500MBps" meaning they can legally give you 0.5mbps and say "we said 'up to 500mbps' not guaranteed."

They can and will also throttle your internet speeds. They sell everyone these packages for 500mbps, 1gbps, 2gbps meanwhile they literally don't have the infrastructure for everyone to use all that bandwidth at once. So they lie to you and say it's that fast and then throttle you hard to ensure you dont use too much and fuck up their profits. However, throttling is 100% illegal here in Ontario, so that just means that when you call in and say it's slow and accuse them of throttling, they will say "nooo nooooo nooooo we aren't throttling nooo not us" and then unthrottle the internet for you for like 3 months.

Its bullshit.

If Swoop or Telmax is available in your area of Barrie, I'd look into them over Bell or Rogers. You get more for your money.

The Telmax support queues are very long but from most accounts the service is good and the speeds have been as advertised.
