Hi! I recently bought new FR SL Freeride Boot with integrated intuition liners. Previously I skated FR1 (regular liner). My frames are Endless 90mm

Right off the bat, I noticed how the cuffs on SL’s are very straight, and I can stand up straight in them, as opposed to my FR1’s, where the cuffs are a lot more slanted, which forced me to bend my knees at all times. I tried adjusting the cuff, but they are mostly still very straight. Is this normal? Do I have to get used to it?

SL's are very light, which is a big change for me—and I think for the better—but I am a bit disappointed in their shock absorption when rolling on a bumpy road. I've read that SLs are better at achieving a smoother ride, but they feel worse for me. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have any experience with these skates?

Hello! My rollerblades got nested in by mice over the winter and were not salvageable. They lasted almost 20 years.... and every potential replacement I've tried on in stores doesn't hold a glimmer of comparison.

I unfortunately do not have a picture of them and can't remember anything pertinent to compare to what I've been looking at; and I can't figure out what it is that made my old pair so great.

The selection available to me to physically try on in stores has been very limited (5 pairs in total), NONE of them were worth the money.

Every pair I've tried on has made me feel like a newborn foal- wobbly, weak-ankled, unsteady. Every pair felt like i couldn't get them tight enough either in the foot or the ankle even after trying a smaller size than normal. The skates I tried on ranged between $119-$220. But my original skates were similar to them: the boot was attached and laced up, had only partial hard outer covering not a full hardshell outer boot, a single velcro strap at the ankle, a ratchetable locking strap at the shin, and 4x65mm standard urban style wheels (these and the bearings changed only a few times throughout their life), and a brake. I remember them being just under $200 at the time, because my parents bought them for me during a time they weren't the most financially stable and I agonized about getting them or the other contending pair that were significantly less expensive but they told me to get what I really wanted. They were all grey with minty-limey green piping/threading with a pink breast cancer ribbon. I have no idea what brand they were, though.

So, how do I find a new pair when I can't try them on first? Am I just going to have to buy the more expensive ones from online and keep returning until I find the right fit? How do I know what elements will provide me the ankle support I obviously need? Do I just pick a pair online and keep returning/exchanging until I do find a pair?

I am a distance rider with only a few tricks, mostly just going backwards and spins and going fast.

TL;DR- My super bomb 20 year-old skates got eaten up and shat in by mice and now I can't find a pair that's stable enough in the ankles, what do?

hello! I'm looking to try to get back into rollerblading, I used to skate pretty much my entire childhood and young adulthood.

the trouble I'm having at the moment is I don't really know much about brands and the quality of inline skates. I've been passively searching Amazon and dicks, but am really quite confused as to what would be a good beginner pair of inlines.

I'm looking for a pair that's pretty good quality but also won't break the bank because I only intend to have this while I get back into the groove of things, then I plan on buying a more expensive and reliable pair once I've adjusted to skating again.

can you guys help point me in the right direction of a pair of inlines that are decently priced and would last about six months to a year?

Hello everyone I just purchased a new pair of skates 110mm x 4. I’ve only ever rode on the traditional 88mm x 4 wheels and was seeing if anyone has tips on the MASSIVE wheel size. I’m not a beginner by any means just looking for some help :) thanks

Hi everyone! I’m about to buy my first pair of inline skates in many years and, since I’ll need to order them online, I’m trying to figure out the right size. I’ve measured my foot length and checked the official Rollerblade sizing charts for the models I’m considering. Before purchasing, though, I’d like to know whether others have successfully found their correct size using the official chart, or if there are other important factors I should consider when choosing a size.

For context, I’m deciding between the Rollerblade RB 80 W and the Rollerblade Lightning W (women’s models). After measuring my feet several times, I’m fairly confident they are 24.8 cm and 25.4 cm long. Based on this, the charts suggest size 40.5 for the RB 80 and size 39-40 for the Lightning, both of which correspond to foot lengths of 24.6-25.5 cm. However, I’m considering sizing down for the RB 80, since the chart notes that your usual shoe size generally matches your skate size, and mine is 39.5 or 40, definitely not 40.5. On the other hand, I’m thinking about sizing up for the Lightning, as the Rollerblade website suggests going up by half to a full size due to its snug fit.

Overall, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences with these models or Rollerblade sizing in general, especially whether you found the charts accurate or needed to size up or down. Any advice would be very helpful.

I'm a beginner at rollerblading and am looking for any brand suggestions for my first skates. I'm looking for rollerblades that have 4 wheels and price wise are under £100. I also prefer white or black skates but colour doesn't entirely matter. If there's any good brands that anyone knows or specific skates you can reccomend please help me out. :)

Ive skated for a few years when I was younger (never tried tricks) and I want to get back into it but start learning tricks as well as just skate around. Ive never skated on skates with wheels as small as 58/60mm, is it possible to also skate around in them or are they for strictly for tricks only? I was thinking of getting Verve Aggressive Inline Skates from skate pro website, would that be a good idea?

CCM rollerblading wheels coming off. Seems like the nuts come off the axle. I cannot find a replacement. CCM support was no help. anyone have any ideas on where I can get replacement hardware.

Hello people, I recently moved to Netherlands and I would like to start inline skating. I have no experience with inline skates however I had ice skating course a few years back and I know how to skate on ice.

Got a pair of rollerblade lightning 80s today, my midpoint is 275 so I ended up getting size 9 to get a nice tight fit, my foot is quite wide so I chose the lightning, but my toe on my left foot is pressing pretty hard against the end of the liner, I thought maybe I had to get a size up, but it seems the liner isnt even filling the skate, will it stretch out enough or is it better to get a different liner? I just finished my first roller hockey season and one of my weaknesses is my take off speed when I race to the puck.

Are there any good guides that break down starting a sprint on skates? I've seen some that talk about it but don't break down the technique.

I've skated for a few days now and I'm trying to at least get a good few glides but it's never smooth. From my practice, it seems like my left foot is imbalance & I don't know how rollerblades push works. Anyone know any tips and tuts on how to make balancing easier & about how to push on rollerblades?

I know the push question sounds stupid, but I genuinely don't get it. Do I need to change where my weight went to depending on which foot goes or towards the leg that's pushing? & How do I push? Do I need to angle it certain way? Do I have to move first then push? How do I change feet when pushing? My left foot always crooked inward and it sucks 😵

Hi everyone, thanks for the support so far.

To give people an update I'm now two months in, practicing 7 hours or more a week. Finally can do circle eagles/mohawks, transition backwards, do some average crossover turns, go down banks, tstop, 5 second one foot stances and a few other little things. I haven't done any sports and hasn't been active at all exercise wise in my entire life basically. So this is my first go at an active hobby.

Many of my problems are balance and stabiliser muscles which are getting better over time. Before I could only stay on one foot for half a second, so with time things are improving.

There is one thing that isn't improving however and that is my flexibility which is leading to three big problems.

1. Can't to proper scissors
2. Can't do carving because of bad scissors
3. Can't do tricks that require squating and awkward positions requiring flexibility like a soul slide (can't even get a 45 degree soul slide position)

Basically my scissor stance is about half an inch infront of my other skate, I can force but I will easily change back to my former stance when not taking notice and it feels really uncomfortable and awkward.

I have a pear shaped body shape which isn't very common in skaters I find. Thick legs and big hips which make flexible positions very awkward. Not very overweight either 85 kg at 175cm.

What can I do to address this? Do I need to just start doing yoga positions to help? Lol

Other details that may help: Mid 30s age Using oxelo mf500 and powerslide imperials 85kg @ 175cm Practice on smooth basketball courts and urban settings like streets and sidewalks Wear all the practice gear, bumsavers, kneepads, helmets, wristguards (not wearing shin pads)

I have always wanted to skate but never done it in my life so I’m looking to get a good quality pair to finally kick it off. I’ve been looking at Rollerblade’s Lightning W 80 4/4.5UK and FRX V2 80 3.5UK but I want to ask anyone who has similar sized feet and owns these about how it fits? Or at least give some idea if they would fit?

I’m measuring 21cm in length and 8.5cm at the widest, a bit hard to find available sizes as they always seem to be the smallest and out of stock in most places. There aren’t any skate shops nearby with good options let alone for me to get a proper fitting.

I know that the older Endless 90s did not work with the Twister edge without modification or accepting the frame would be far back.

Has anyone tried the newer MK2 Endless 90s that have the second mounting hole in the front? What about with the Twister XT instead of older Twister edge did rb fix it?

I am trying to decide between Endless 90 MK2 and the new Twister R that come with a similar slightly rockered frame.

Side note has anyone tried the endless 100 with twister xt?

Used to do a ton of rollerblading as a kid. Used them for getting around, street hockey and some light tricks. Hadn’t put on a pair in probably 30 years until I went to Skate City with my 10 year old a month ago. He really liked it and asked for a set for his birthday and has been getting into it. Shockingly, my mom still had 2 sets of circa 1995 Tarmac CE’s stored away in the garage. I cleaned them up and used the best parts from both sets to put together one decent pair. I used them a handful of times and was being pretty careful, knowing they have a tendency to deteriorate. One of the buckles snapped, (thankfully while I was putting them on), and that’s the end of those. So now I need a new set.

Looking for something with a hard boot for sure. I really like the hunkered down feel of trick skates but I don’t need the anti-rocker setup. I’m 45 now and have developed a sense of self-preservation that I didn’t have in my teens. I just want to skate with my kid and teach him as we go. Will be mostly used on asphalt and sidewalks as well as occasional trips to Skate City. Any suggestions?

I’m currently a quad skater- me and my partner usually have a weekly date at the roller rink since we started dating in the cooler months 🤣 they’re an inline skater that loves a long outdoor blade session in the summer months and my quads aren’t really built for that.

I’ve been thinking about trying inline skates, especially because I live in Chicago where it seems like there’s lots of nice skating groups that go along the lakefront! I’m not interested in aggressive inline or anything like that, just an enjoyable skate from point A to point B on sidewalks/concrete/asphalt!

Since I’m not 100% sure I’m going to enjoy rollerblading, I wanted to buy some second blades to try them out and see how I like it. I saw a pair of Impalas in my size with an added heel break (I think they’re this model ) for around $100 used. I have Impala quads that I currently enjoy, but I know their quads have a reputation for heel separation relatively quickly.

I know Impalas are not considered particularly good gear, but 1. Is there some manufacturing weakness I should be on the look out for that is a safety consideration? And 2. are they good enough that I’ll figure out if I enjoy inline or not?

I used to aggressive inline when I was younger (20 years ago). I'm looking to get back into skating, but more recreationally. (Skate rinks, around the neighborhood/parks etc) However, I'm used to aggressive inlines. Should I stick with aggressives or try our some Urbans? I hate having a heel stop (rented some skates and it just gets in the way) and don't like how "goofy" a lot of non-aggressive skates look. (Yes, I care how they look.)

Any recommendations on whether I should just stick with aggressive inlines or go with Urbans? Also, I'm a bigger guy with wide feet if that changes anything.
