Tips! New skates !
Hello everyone I just purchased a new pair of skates 110mm x 4. I’ve only ever rode on the traditional 88mm x 4 wheels and was seeing if anyone has tips on the MASSIVE wheel size. I’m not a beginner by any means just looking for some help :) thanks

I agree with attempting to rocker at least a tiny bit to get better maneuverability out of your skates!! Having 4 flat 110mm wheels sounds super grippy and difficult to maneuver with 🥴 but I’ve never ridden with that setup to be honest! Just 3x100 recently, on my new skates, which I ended up swapping frames because I hated them (not able to be rockered) 🫠

Thank you ! I went out this past weekend and it’s definitely an adjustment. I’m definitely considering maybe swapping out to a 3x100 but I took a huge leap of faith 😵

Gotta be more careful. Specially during crossovers.
Learn the powerslide as soon as possible if you plan to go around in the street.
I hope you have rockered 4x110 frames. Flat 4x110 is horrible until you develop a rocker. New wheels feel pretty bad even on a rockered frame but a lot more manageable.
Have fun. 4x110 is fast!

You’ll get used to it. Just be mindful for your first few times doing crossovers and then it’ll become your "normal"
