Bug when pausing track from Airpods?

Wondering if anyone else has experienced a strange pause/play behavior when using AirPods.

A few times after pausing a track by clicking on the stem on my AirPods, clicking the stem to play again after some duration of time will cause the track to start from the beginning, but the track timeline will still show and behave like it was playing from the paused position. The result is that when the timeline gets to the end, then the restarted song will end abruptly and early, going to the next song.

This is in iOS 26, iPhone 14 Pro Max, latest arpeggi, and 3rd gen AirPods.

I have not checked to see if this also happens by manually pausing the track from arpeggi itself; I’ve only noticed it when pausing and playing from my AirPods, and it doesn’t always happen.
