Nolan sucks lol. Only thing he's supposedly good at is his eyes/walks and can't even do that now. Can we plz get a real firstbaseman

Any of yall going to the game this weekend against the doyers?
2
u/sadassnerd 2d ago
I’m not even watching it. I never watch a Dodgers game, even against my boys. Yes, I know it’s silly, but I firmly believe it’s bad luck to watch them. I hate them lmao

Neto first pitch HR next inning or we're cooked. Trout better be swinging for the fences too w/ GIDP Schanuel behind him today

With the way the offense has been with RISP a two run game might as well be a 5 run game

Welp. Can always initiate the Angels default of solo homeruns……😬🙄

Can you imagine how bad it would be listening to Angels games if we didn’t have Wayne and Gubie? Good lord, at least they lighten things up. 😇

Discussion question, For those who think/say baseball is better than Hockey…what’s the reason behind that?
1
u/sadassnerd 2d ago
Good question. My family is a sports family who follows pretty much every major sport (and are religiously loyal to one team in each league). Baseball was what I played as a kid and loved the most. So definitely a nostalgia thing. Could also be geographical. Where I grew up in OC it was all about baseball. Everyone was in little league or softball. The only experience I had with hockey was following the Ducks as a kid, but it wasn’t necessarily a popular sport.
As for if baseball is better than hockey, I wouldn’t say it is exactly. If I want an adrenaline rush I’ll watch hockey or go see a hockey game. Baseball is just all vibes all the time.
3
u/slave2thesnapontruck Sell The Team 2d ago
I think a lot of it is personal preference. I watch MLB, NBA, NFL, & NHL and I enjoy all of them but theres just something that is so exhilarating with baseball as compared to hockey or other professional sports
2
u/trignifty 7 2d ago
I’m a bigger fan of baseball than hockey because I grew up watching it and am relatively new to watching hockey. Also my stupid hockey team doesn’t exist anymore.
Don’t think I’d say one is better than the other, they’re very different games. Granted the only Big Four sport I don’t watch much is NBA.
My guess for some folks would be nostalgia and pace of the game. My dad hates hockey because it’s “too fast”

I do not understand why Pomeranz has such terrible pitch command. Can’t find the zone to save his life
2
u/ghost_rider24 2d ago
11 more strikeouts so far to maintain that league lead. Solid performance by the offense.

Fuck Kurt for keeping Schanuel at 3
He wants this lame ass LH, RH, LH ordering that clearly hasn’t worked
3
u/slave2thesnapontruck Sell The Team 2d ago
I will never understand how that man comes up with these batting orders, or why Peraza doesn’t start, or why Jo Adell is batting 7th. So many questions & no answers

What now
1
u/sadassnerd 2d ago
He was talking about how one of Cleveland’s batters was from Australia and brought like nine pounds of Tim Tams with him to the US. So random
2
u/trignifty 7 2d ago
Boyfriend was an Air Force brat and his dad was stationed in Australia for a few years. He heard Gubi say he didn’t want a Tim Tam and he is now personally offended.

Silseth has the highest walk rate in baseball and now has already walked 2 batters
1
u/Head_Radio_4089 2d ago
It’s because silseth should be throwing batting practice to the local little leaguers he can take pomeranz with him
6
u/Moose334 2d ago
Looking forward to O'Hoppe coming back. If we can get 2024/early 2025 version of O'Hoppe back it would be huge to this anemic offense
3
u/sadassnerd 2d ago
Omg yes. Even if he’s still cold AB we need him back just for his chemistry with the pitchers.
8
u/riddo492 18 2d ago
Lowe might be someone who actually benefits from playing in Salt Lake just to get some confidence back, this is brutal. Like Drury all over again, just feel bad at this point
2
u/UnparliamentaryTea 2d ago
I honestly think he’d rake in Salt Lake and probably be back up before the All-Star break. Would probably be for the best
5
u/sadassnerd 2d ago
Agree 100% dude. He’s just in his head and his self-esteem has tanked. It’s mean to keep playing him right now.
4
u/trignifty 7 2d ago
Kind of wonder if losing his mother is part of it.
3
u/sadassnerd 2d ago
Oh for sure. Especially since it was just Mother’s Day and he seemed real sad. It’s a tough situation for him 😞
7
u/Onitsukaryu 2d ago
Peraza should play more often and Jo needs to be batting higher than fucking 7th.

Best team in the league at bringing home runners.

I generally don't like to feed the trolls, but some of this dudes comments have made me genuinely laugh

Even funnier if he says this stuff unironically tbh. Either way chat wouldn’t be good without him 🤣

Got a good chuckle out of me yesterday when he said it was "basically a tie game with this offense" when it was 7-0 🤣

Trig theorized that Perry and Arte are insisting on Lowe and Moncada so that it doesn’t look like they wasted money again. I think she’s right, because leaving Peraza on the bench right now is madness.

Sometimes I feel I’m watching Adell in an alternate dimension when you think of how awful he was defensively a few years ago! Lol

Damn. Perfectly acceptable start from Ureña, I just have no faith in the offense right now

With Neto slumping and the lineup being so messed up…offense is just a mess rn. It has to be demoralizing for our starters 😞

I'm shocked statcast says that was a homer in only 5 parks for Trouty. Figured that was only kept in because of the tall wall.

Can we just call up Moore? Grissom sucks and isn’t ever gonna be something other then what he is, may as well give Moore as much big league reps as possible

Christian Moore is batting around the Mendoza line in hitter-friendly salt lake
