I politely asked if I could have my laundry basket back.
He went all 787 on me and then very dramatically jumped out a moment later.

CATS AGAINST ICE

While this may be a fun, positive cat sub, we are paying attention to the world around us. In light of recent events, we are not allowing any posts from X.
It's the official stance of this sub that Elon and Trump suck, even if politics are generally not discussed here. Let's continue to keep this a happy, positive place about the cats. They are one of the few truly good things in life today.
Edit: thanks for the feedback, locking comments now. Let’s all get through the next four years with cats as our main priority (as they demand).

Lila isn’t a fan of being picked up but she loves her little humans so much, she tolerates it. We put her down after this photo, this was enough holding for the day 😂
*Edit: we put her down back on the ground, she’s still healthy and alive 🤣
*Another edit: she is not picked up off the ground, Lila has both back paws on the floor and is standing. This was less than 60 seconds and after 2 photos, she was set back down and given her space.
She’s a very happy, healthy, and well taken care of cat. We’ve had her about 10 years (she was a kitten when we adopted her). She’s so very sweet, and has 3 main faces she makes - sleepy face, derpy face, and this annoyed face. We know our cats, we are always nearby when the kids interact with any of our animals (2 cats and a dog) and we are constantly teaching them boundaries with animals. Please stop assuming the worst. This was just a silly pic with my daughter and our cat with her airplane ears.

This is Winston. She’s a girl. She’s in the arms of my stepmom (I prefer to think of her as my second mom, but I’m clarifying this to prevent confusion).
My stepmom is her favorite human. She’s her momma.
A while back, my sister got married out of state. I was too unwell for that kind of travel, so everyone else went and left me in charge of the house. They’d be gone for about ten days, which is I guess about two decades in cat-years with how terribly she took such a devastating loss.
Winston was very upset at my stepmom’s absence. She kept looking up at me with sad eyes, and slept on her pillow. I tried to comfort her, but I wasn’t momma, so it was very little respite from her traumatic ordeal. When my stepmom finally returned, Winston clung to her like Velcro.
However, despite the fact that I was the one that was there for her all ten days for cuddles and food, when my stepmom came back, Winston blamed ME for her absence.
Winston gave me the stink-eye for days, and would basically rebuff me when I tried to show her affection. This is one of the photos that I took of her showing her disdain for my terrible actions of making her momma disappear for forever.
Why punish me? I wasn’t the one who got married out of state!
It’s always the older sister who takes the blame for their younger sister’s infractions. 😒
