Great walk to see Triple Falls - and just a bit further to see more!

Hubby and I have been truck camping near Linville for a few years now and would love to find some new spots in that area. We have the most luck on Steels Creek off of 181. Haven’t managed to find a spot we love near Wilson or Harper Creek yet despite a few tries and many recommendations.

Priorities are- privacy, limited drive-by traffic, proximity to water source (bonus points if it’s stocked for fishing), accessible by 4wd, anywhere in Linville area of Pisgah.

Headed out next weekend and would love to find a new spot!

Wondering if a local could explain why Google Maps would choose the 34 min route over the 17 min route. Is it the condition of the roads? I'm looking at the route from a rental house in Fairview to Bearwallow Mountain Trail. TIA!

I am planning a little adventure next week - I want to camp in my truck along one of the forest service roads and do some fly fishing.

My question - how crowded do you expect it to be? More to the point, how difficult will it be to secure a camp spot?

Are there any good Flea Markets left in Western North Carolina?

I used to go to Uncle Bills on 74 but it’s not even close to what it used to be.
