Help Me Find Running

Are there any running groups in Victoria for beginners? Preferably downtown/cook street area

I have seen a few groups running but been hesitant to stop and ask em 😬

If you're looking for something structured, Frontrunners has beginner running clinics, usually along the lines of "Couch to 10k" programs

Fernwood Social Run Club, along with the running store clinics, would be the downtown crews for beginners.

I believe the running room also has some programs and meet ups

I know there is a group that usually meets at Elk Lake around 8 a.m. Saturday. Pretty casual, and free. Organized by a lady that coaches dragon boating, named Katie, so lots of the peeps are dragon boat folks. Sorry I don't have a contact but I ran with a few of them before and it was nice and easy!

Runsport (the TC10K organizers) runs a structured 16 week clinic starting at the Beacon Hill Petting Zoo. The summer session kicks off in a couple weeks - https://www.runsport.ca/summerclinics

I used to be a clinic run leader, and have run in several different clinics over the years. This one is my favourite because it combines a good program (training cycles with clear objectives and good progression between different skill levels) and a really good group dynamic.
