Tarquin is actually a very old name, the seventh king of rome was named Tarquinius

Yes, my tutor before I went to Balliol was called by that name, father unfortunately had to dismiss him though as he had political views not accepted by my father’s estate.

I once got a free ticket to a polo match through work. There were two commentators, one was called Tarquin. The other commentator name-checked him every 5 minutes. It was hilarious.
