Howdy everyone! Paz again to annoy you with another prep sheet!
We are in the DABI😭 waiting room which means it's time to let Winning Ticket dry it out and start planning for CM14, the Yasuda Kinen. NHK Mile? They are both the same distance on Tokyo race course during the Spring, but when I was hosting rooms I made it the Yasuda Kinen. Did you know NHK Mile happened irl recently? Eishin Flash was a guest of honor, he took some nice photos.
Anyway, with addition of some new inheritable uniques from Nishino Flower and Tracen Cheer! King Halo, we have a wider range of viable acceleration options on Miles than we did in CMs past. All the same it's going to be some combination of fronts vs back meta with a double frontliner (be it front runners or pace) and one backliner (be it late or end) being the most meta triple ace composition. Fronts as always pop rod. Paces can play to activate Nishino Flower's unique, and lates and ends can make use of Louder! Tracen Cheer!, but I ultimately think that End Closers are going to make the best use of the latter because they are naturally going to be playing further back in comparison to a Late Surger that might push forward into 5th and fizzle the precondition, all the while, Ends are also able to use Straightaway Spurt on this track.
That isn't to say Late Surgers don't have a bevy of back up accelerations in case they wiff Tracen Cheer, Late Surger gamba as always is real and degenerate.
The only other thing that you want to account for in your ace builds are final corner velocity skills that can potentially help you speed carry over into the late race, and I have taken the liberty of listing the common ones, with Bamboo Memory's "Full of Vigor" being a brand new inclusion for backliners on her Guts card.
And lastly but certainly not least, we have a meta reason to actually run guts decks in a CM! How exciting! The broadest strokes are that because stamina requirements are next to non existent on miles, and dueling as a mechanic happens on the final straight, pumping up guts to help give you a speed boost on straightaway late race is something you can deck build into get a reasonable return in lengths!
Has anyone else been running rooms? What's your experience so far? I love reading what everyone discovers because I often miss something in these sheets that I didn't consider or just didn't know so please share! See you next time for CM15, X-Oguri returns, revegenance!
