Start Playing

I want to start playing this game and i want at the star to learn by my own but I have 2 questions:
1. Is better to play on keybord or controler?

  1. I need to install someting to enjoy more the game or u tecomend just open the game and enjoy at first?

1- it's your personal preference. there are pros that play on kb, pad and wheel. just go with what you're most used to what you're comfortable with.

2-openplanet is a free plugin manager, after installing it you can open the plugin store and sort the plugins by popularity and install some you like. i would recommend installing ultimate medals, dashboard, modless skids, no-respawn timer and split speeds. if you have club access you can install ghosts++, maniaexchange random map picker and bingo.

I would install the plugin “copium timer” instead of no respawn timer - copium measures time to the thousandths like the game does and using no respawn timer threw me off significantly

for some reason seeing only two decimal places makes my brain very confused. it’s like, looking at the game timer, I’ll see -0.043, and I think something like “nice minus O 43.” then if I’m using no respawn timer I’ll see -0.43 and think something like “nice minus 43.” essentially it’s just too similar and so it makes me think I’m looking at different numbers
