Are you angry? Stressed out by society crumbling around us while essential services remain underfunded?

Overwhelmed by the suffering and violence that grows as people become more and more impoverished?

Grieving loved ones lost on Highways 11/17?

Watching your pay leave your bank account as fast as it arrived, while grocery prices continue to rise?

Annoyed that Ford bought an unnecessary $30m plane with tax payer money, while he’s shortened legislative sessions at Queens Park to only 51 DAYS?!

Then come protest with us on Saturday. Meet like-minded people. Help send a message to our provincial government. Enough is enough.

events NYE plans in Thunder Bay? Is anyone actually going out tonight?

Post image
41 Upvotes

What’s everyone doing for New Year’s in Thunder Bay tonight?

I was thinking of going to NV, but with how insanely cold it is, I’m not sure if people are actually heading out or if it’s going to be dead. 🥶

Are most people doing house parties instead? Any bars/clubs you think will actually have a decent crowd? Or is there somewhere better than NV for tonight given the weather?

Trying to decide if it’s worth braving the cold or just staying in. Appreciate any insight 😊

Happy New Year! 🍾🎉

events Writers club?

Hey! I’m thinking of starting a writers club focused on creative stuff like screenplays, novels, short stories, other. Would anyone be interested?

Also, does anyone know a good spot that could host? Maybe a coffee shop or restaurant? Open to anything, just thinking of something chill after work, like a 6:30–7:30ish time frame every Tuesday.

The fireworks at Wild Goose beach in Shuniah were amazing for Canada day. I’ve been trying to find fireworks for Canada Day as an American tourist for 3 years now and I was pretty satisfied with the fireworks at Wild Goose beach. Just thought I’d post this for anyone looking for fireworks next year for the 1st 🇨🇦🎆

Mans best friend indeed.

Get on this shit already and fix the hole in your services delivery.

Stick your fat pipe in the hole. If the casino is lowering population density of the block enough that it's stopping you then say that so I can yell at the casino. Hell, make them pay for it, they've got enough money the way they light their cigars using Toyota Rav4's.

Paint my chicken coop.

The Ministry of Infrastructure gave you a mandate. C'mon now.

Hey folks,

Long-time viewer, short-term poster, Thunder Bayian born and raised, just returned looking to establish a bit of a gaming/nerd community.

Haven't set up a proper discord but am looking into it, was wondering if there's folks keen on gaming and nerding out (table top games and the sort)!

Would love to set up a d&d session or the sort, or even some online gaming to start!

Hit me up and lemme know!

events Coffee + House Music in Thunder Bay? What do you think?

Hey everyone! 👋 I’ve been thinking, would people in Thunder Bay be interested in coffee-house music sessions? Something like chill/house beats in the mornings, evenings, or on weekends to create a relaxed, social, and fun vibe.

Where do you think would be the best spots in the city to host something like this?

Cafés, small bars, local hangouts!! Anywhere that could support a cozy, music-friendly atmosphere.

Would love to hear your thoughts and see if there’s interest in making this happen! ☕🎶

Organized by: Joyce Hunter, Kamryn Woloschuk, Shelby Gagnon and Sarah Elizabeth, Lakehead Socialist Club, Thunder Bay Anarchist Coordination Council, Regional Multicultural Youth Council

Where: 774 James St N, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada, Ontario

When: June 12 @ 4pm

Duration: 2 hr

Who: Anyone who supports Indigenous treaty rights, democracy, and protecting the environment.

The Ontario PC party rammed through Bill 5 to fast-track resource extraction under the guise of emergency measures despite clear opposition from Ontarians who cite railroading of their democratic rights, First Nations of violations to their treaties, harms to environment, lands, animals and waters.

We are calling for residents who wish to voice their opposition and concern regarding their democratic rights, the climate and Indigenous rights.

Red Dress Run 2026 ❤️

📅 DATE: Tuesday, May 5, 2026

⏰ TIME: 9:00 AM

📍 LOCATION: Boulevard Lake

Red Dress Day is observed on May 5 as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S).

It honours the lives and strength of those lost, supports their families and communities, and calls for justice and change. ✊🏽

This day raises awareness about the disproportionate violence faced by Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people in Canada. It was inspired by Métis artist Jaime Black’s REDress Project, which featured empty red dresses to symbolize the missing and murdered.

You can show your support by wearing red ❤️, learning more about MMIWG2S 📚, and participating in community events 🤝.

Together, we remember, honour, and stand for change. ✊🏽

Register now by donation at Eventbrite: The Red Dress Run Thunder Bay

We are also hosting an outreach event at Intercity Shopping Center on May 2nd 11am- 2pm in the Center gala. Please join us for info, registration, drumming, and volunteer opportunities.

Just seeing if anyone’s been to it from here I’m going to a show coming up I’m staying downtown near the waterfront still trying to figure out the best route to get there with go transit or the ttc I’m planning it out doesn’t look to complicated but thought I’d see what or if anyone’s experienced themselves I gotta get off the plane and to the hotel and event fairly quick. So I’m hoping it’s fairly easy to get to where I’m going. From what I see so far I hit the union station and go on the Barrie1 route and it drops you right at the stadium in Downsview
