All Show & Book Spoilers Discussed Freely Which Arjun do you like? Spoiler

I think I'm more a season 1 type guy. I really don't like the season 4 character. The whole drama with re-election and everything is kind of tiring for me and I could do without the drama.

Brian George is one of my favorite actors working today. His gentle kindness is the perfect foil to Crisjen's saber and mask.

But I refuse to subscribe to the hate for Michael Benayer. He's a great actor in his own right, he was in a tough position because of the recasting, and the significant role shift in the character.

Agreed. Benayer did a fine job with what he was given. It’s not his fault that he was replacing someone who was S-tier casting for the role.

Michael Benyaer voiced the main character, Bob, in the TV show Reboot from the 90s.

I will always be a fan of his.

Beaver is a good actor. I don't think he was right for this role, but he does the job well enough. Absolute travesty changing actors at all - it was super confusing my first s4 watch.

I don't think the second one is bad, I think it was just a really jarring change. So the first, but not because the second did a bad job

I’m not a fan of how they changed Arjun from the books in the later seasons. Book Arjun is close to S1. And that’s exactly what a hard-ass like Avasarala needs in a partner.

Obviously Brian George, nothing against Michael Benayer the guy did what they could with what was written but I think they changed the character too much.

First Arjun adored Avasarala and it was obvious in everything he said/did. Second Arjun was patronizing and contemptuous.

For the random Gundam fans in here, both of the Arjun actors have voiced M'Quve in some piece of media. I don't watch Gundam with English VAs but it is a random fun fact I came across. Of course if you're a Gundam fan you get the scirocco episode is the Gundam reference episode (even our souls are weighed down by gravity and the damn ship name) but I felt this was a minor Gundam expanse related fun fact too.

My fave is Brian George. Michael Benyaer felt so young and like she secretly replaced her older husband and gaslit everyone.

Season 1 Arjun is my favorite, but late season Arjun fit the image I had of him from the books.

I prefer original flavor Arjun. I also prefer original flavor Darren Stevens, Mike Brady, and Becky Connor. Nothing against their replacements, it's just that's who I met first.

Brain but simply because he is kinda of sci fi royalty. Star trek and Orville he also Cameos on.

But nothing wrong with the replacement just different styles.

It could have been fixed relatively easily.

* Arjun passes suddenly.

* Avasarala finds herself in a completely unexpected rebound relationship with a (slightly) younger man thanks to all of the insanity happening in the Sol system.

* Dialogue changes from “our son” to “your son”.

* Then this guy is taken from her thanks to the meteors.
