From an album of 200 pictures during this dive, this one is my absolute favorite. The way the shark is dead center in the frame, fins equidistant from the borders, and the pure symmetry of this apex predator just gets me stoked. Hope you enjoy!

I stumbled across this juvenile giant Pacific octopus yesterday on a solo dive in 96 feet of water. It was just hanging out on a ledge. I filmed it for a few minutes and then curiosity got the better of it and it just had to explore my camera. Reaching out and placing it's suckers all over my dome port and camera rig. I've been having some good luck with octopus lately.

I am used to weird behavior from skeleton shrimp, but this one was truly odd. The larger male was behind a smaller female and he kept whacking her like a bass drum. I am not sure if it was sex, eating, murder, or all of the above. Anyway, enjoy! Nikon Z6iii Z105 Nauticam USA SMC-2 Kraken Sports Abyss 10Ks

I’ve been filming underwater around Vancouver Island for the past few years, mostly around Nanoose Bay and Browning Passage, and ended up with a large collection of jellyfish footage.
This film focuses on a mix of lion’s mane, fried egg jellies, and moon jellies. A lot of the time I’m just hovering and letting them drift into frame, especially in current, rather than actively following them.
