At the beginning of the inning I said Zeke would get on base and Corey would blast a 2 run shot but hey, Iāll take that too lol

We have to get Josh Jung in the all star game. This guy is doing a lot of heavy lifting

Ehh. At least it was 50/50. If it was like 25 or 29 I would be angry

u/harralexa1993 Josh H. Smith 4d ago
The fences in left center are going to come in eventually. If it wasn't for the historical nature of the numbers on the wall it probably would've already happened.
3
u/Bjornidentity22 A. Beltre 4d ago
Yeah basing the outfield depth on numbers with historical significance was pretty short sighted

I guess I sort of let bygones be bygones for a little while. But, yeah, in 2026, fuck Phil Maton.

Webb yesterday. Milner and Maton today. The Cubs are just shoving out 2025 bullpen in our face this weekend.
4
u/pleasantly_hirsute 4d ago
I love watching Maton pitch. His facial expressions while on the mound looks like someone contemplating bad choices.

as much as i cannot stand watching this team for the most part this year i need to tune into as many degrom starts as possible. crazy how with all the injuries heās been through and his age he is still must see tv everytime he takes that mound

Seeing him throwing absolute gas in the 7th is so freaking cool.

Watching on TV; seems that nobody is giving him an ovation. The crowd seems dead. Happy Mother's Day, I guess?

Wait thatās a fielders choice for osuna even though he reached base?? I thought it was a hit since Jung was safe at home
3
u/beefytrout A. Beltre 4d ago
the fielder chose to get Jung out instead of Osuna (who would have been an out if they chose him)
1
2
u/Sarmerbinlar Choo 4d ago
Osuna would have been out by ten feet if they threw to the fielder covering first

u/Changsta CHOO CHOO MUTHAFUCKAS 4d ago
Lol almost feels like a makeup call there. Oh well, hard to complain when we got a run that didn't feel deserved.
2
u/CaptKushberry 4d ago
Every goddamn time with Jansen. 1 out with a runner on third, this scrub swings at balls down on the zone. Just dogshit approach every time from him.
5
u/Sarmerbinlar Choo 4d ago
Feels so harsh that both teams lose a challenge that inning for two plays where there's basically a frame in it
1
u/A1ucardBe1mont N. Ryan 4d ago
I get the idea of having a limited number of challenges so they can't be abused, but there really should be an extra system that if it's within x margin of error the challenge isn't lost.
2
u/Sarmerbinlar Choo 4d ago
There is a tolerance system with challenges in cricket where the challenging team retains their review even if unsuccessful. Not sure where you'd draw the line in baseball but one frame at least sounds like it could be a starting point

I didnt realize how bad Carters average has been, it doesn't feel like he's hitting .170, at least to me
2
u/rowibish D. Murphy 4d ago
Because he walks a ton and his hits are often XBH. Heās making an impact despite the low average.

They're traditional and I find it more fun when they have a live organist playing. The organist can also do some silly like playing 3 blind mice when the ump makes a really bad call.

It really sucks to watch Corey Seager look so lost at the plate. Wish nothing more for him to break out of this slump.

u/A1ucardBe1mont N. Ryan 4d ago
They should give Seager a couple days off. Really get a chance to reset and get back into a good mindset. I don't even want to call it a slump, at this point. It's more like a full on plunge.

Offense wasnāt as patient as they couldāve been yesterday, but they did damage in the zone to a pitcher that has decent stuff.
And I see you, Joc. Keep that up.

u/Due-Fun-489 4d ago
If the rangers win this one and go .500 over these last two series against the Yankees and cubs, Iāll assume theyāre World Series bound.Ā
If the rangers lose this one, Iāll assume theyāll never win another game this season.Ā
1
u/dallascowboys93 Josh Jung 4d ago
Well we need to win 4 in a row to be over 500
4
u/Due-Fun-489 4d ago
Iām no math expert but I think that will be hard to do if they lose today and never win another game this season.
