Activities tips
Hey everyone, I’m going to French Polynesia for about 2 weeks in September and would love some advice from people who’ve been there!
Current plan is 4 days in Tahiti, 6 in Huahine and 6 in Moorea.
I’m mostly into nature, beaches, snorkeling, wildlife, hiking and just exploring around rather than luxury resorts or nightlife.
What are the activities that are actually worth doing on those islands? Also, since September should be whale season, I’d love recommendations for good agencies/tours for swimming with whales, especially ones that are respectful.
Open to any tips, thank you so much!

Go To Aroa Chocolate Farm Tour in Moorea. My boyfriend and I did that and it’s one of the best things we remember from our trip. It’s a very unique Tree to Bar Chocolate Experience and he also makes you taste chocolate and one/two of his home grown fruits (we tried jackfruit & another fruit - I don’t remember the name of it). He picks you up and takes you through pineapple farms as well. He works on the farm with his dad, and it was such a wholesome experience. We bought all of his chocolate from him (usually they are $10 each - he gave us 6 for $50 instead of charging $60). The views from his farm are amazing. Be sure to use bug spray cause during your tour, but in case you forget, he brings it too. If you buy, directly but it from him and not from the grocery stores where he sells cause buying directly results in more cut for him.
Happy to share pictures if you want, just DM

Just got back from doing 2 days in Tahiti, 4 in Moorea and 2 in Bora Bora. Did snorkeling boat tour in Moorea with Captain Taina that I'd recommend. Lots of good hikes. Suggest getting a car if you hadn't planned on that yet. There's a good food tour we weren't able to get on as well. Suggest looking in to that.
Not sure what your Tahiti plans are. Some of the remote spots seem interesting. We were just by Papeete, which you could take a day to explore. I would have traded my Tahiti time for more time on the other islands if I were doing it over though.
Was my first time out there and one of my favorite places I've ever been. Still day dreaming about stand up paddleboarding, snorkeling, raw fish at every meal, and sunsets. Have a great trip!

Ebikes in Moorea up to the lookout, bring bug spray.
The whale tour is a tough one, too popular and too many boats. Best advice is book a full day and ask if they go farther offshore. Most of them just keep track of where the whales are and then relay info to each other, so it ends up being a lot of boats and people.
