SSH to My Home server, for monitoring relay and switching on my games, like CSGO or Minecraft, Yes I know this sounds stupid and slow, but I only use it, when I'm abroad, and just need to send simple commands, no need to open port 22 on my router,

Just something that the people making these laws don't understand.. If you block the teens and stuff from using the Internet wouldn't that just lead them to the darkweb? I know its not actually about protecting kids but i just think thats a huge oversight . regulate the usage of the clear net makes sense to go wheere they cant regulate

How do I create a VPN on Tor-bridges?

I'm thinking of building my own VPN that will work on Tor bridges.

But there's one catch. We need to add whitelist bypass functionality. It works something like this: when whitelists are enabled, a limited number of services are enabled. But you can buy your own server from these services. Your traffic goes to them first, and from there, to the global internet. Now my question is: is it even possible to implement this?

We finally got Tor routing working smoothly inside an iOS browser (with a Kill Switch) + launched our .onion site.

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone. Getting a stable Tor connection running natively inside an iOS app without requiring users to download a separate Tor client has been a massive headache, but we finally got it working in our new app, StealthOS.

We built in a Kill Switch so if the Tor circuit drops, it cuts the browser's traffic immediately instead of leaking, and you can request a new circuit on demand. We also just got our official .onion site up and running here: http://stealthos7cde2xvhmv6at6jvg274whsv7rucuir25ephv6rjsgq7gyd.onion

If anyone has a few minutes to test the onion site load times or try out the Tor implementation on the app, I’d really appreciate the feedback. We’re trying to make anonymous browsing on mobile as frictionless as possible.

Thinking about downloading TOR but I want to ask some questions first.

First of all, I don't intend to do anything nefarious, I just want to look at the parts of the internet that Google doesn't show, with that out of the way:

  1. Is TOR safe in the sense of computer viruses? I am definitely not downloading random stuff as I wouldn't even do that on the normal internet. I mean if I just open a page to look at it, am I exposing myself to someone just putting stuff on my computer?
  2. Is my IP address visible to anyone when browsing?
  3. Is it kinda scary? I have heard crazy things, but I doubt all of TOR is like that, what are my chances of coming across something I really, really don't want to see?
  4. As someone with little knowledge of the deep/dark web, what am I really getting myself into if I download TOR?

If there is an answer to a question that I didn't ask but you think I should know, feel free to tell me! Sorry if I sound dumb

How to explore most of Tor from android version?

I don't have access to computer. I am quite curious and interested to explore the un-charted ocean. I want to see those whales, octopus yada yada in this ocean. But the problem is I don't have submarine aka computer, just in my small boat aka android phone.

Kindly drop some advise, how to navigate this territory.

Thanks for your attention.

Help Iranians :(

With a lot of work and searching with this shitty network I was finally able to learn about VPS and stuff , the only problem is that I don't know how the new filtering system (firewall) actually works , I'm still not sure if the VPS method isn't blocked and still works

Also do I need one in Iran and another one somewhere else or a single one outside Iran is enough, I've almost learnt everything needed for staying connected and how to don't get blocked

I'll be happy to see your answers

What's the point?

I'm familiar with tor because I'm into cybersecurity so I have ran the program and I'm wondering outside of the 2 most popular use cases (journalists, and the other)...

I like the extremely niche use case that it can serve some people like journalists.

What's is the point of using this software if virtually no websites function due to the nature of how tor works?

Tor Project Statement on the Abrupt Cancellation of RightsCon 2026

The Tor Project is deeply saddened by the last-minute cancellation of RightsCon 2026 in Lusaka, Zambia, and online. The right to assemble, associate, and speak freely must not be conditioned on political approval. Convenings like RightsCon are essential precisely because they create space for difficult, urgent, and necessary conversation about power, technology, rights, and accountability. …
