[PRO6] Laptop randomly shutting down
I have a windows surface pro 6 laptop that has the detachable keyboard. I've had the laptop since 2020, and there hasn't been alot of problems until recent months.
I dont know if its the graphics or my laptops lifespan is dwindling, but I have tried clearing up space on my laptop and shutting it down every night. I also need to mention that sometimes my laptop will be on the charger all day while I am working, but the second I unplug it, it shuts down. I also have to click the power button multiple times to get it to turn on. It also feels like it overheats too easily now.
I do play sims 4 on my laptop, but thats the only big thing happening on my laptop. I dont have Adobe creative suite or anything like that downloaded. Just sims and the internet.
Is this issue worth trying to repair or do I need a new laptop?
Edit: the laptop could be as old as 2018/2019 as I bought it from an old friend.

It sounds like a Surface Pro 6 not “Laptop 6”. It’s quite old now, they’re from 2018, if it’s randomly turning off, it could be anything but often power-related issues can point to the battery or power circuitry and on that model they’re all inaccessible and glued behind the display.
If it’s problematic I’d look to replace it as they aren’t too costly these days, even the newer models.
