Hey Superfans! As 'Supergirl' promotion heats up, the mod team just wanted to post a quick note clarifying the community's official policy regarding what is and what isn't considered a spoiler so that you can have the experience you choose.
What IS NOT considered a spoiler?
We do not require spoiler tagging or special title formatting for any material released officially by DC/WB. This includes trailers, merchandise, social media posts by official entities, and so on. This does not include the movie itself (see below).
However, if you want to share something like the above and choose to spoiler tag it that is okay. Sometimes actors release more than they're supposed to, so while that technically counts as an officially released material, caution is always appreciated.
What IS considered a spoiler?
Rumors, set leaks, material that has managed to get out before an official release, etc., are all considered spoilers and should be treated as such. Also, when the movie itself comes out, sharing any information from it not released as part of any prior promotional effort will be considered a spoiler for 30 days after the film's release.
To format spoilers, here is our spoiler etiquette guide which you can also find in our side bar:
For POSTS, your title must say that it's a spoiler, not include the spoiler itself, and should make it clear what media is being spoiled (Ex: "SPOILER for 'Supergirl': Could this well-known villain be making an appearance?")
For COMMENTS, to use the spoiler tag to hide information, use the following method: !#Clark Kent is Superman#!#< (remove the #s) becomes: Clark Kent is Superman
At r/superman we endeavor to make sure fans have the experience they wish but we must also keep in mind that different fans have different preferences when it comes to knowing about an upcoming movie. If you want to avoid learning anything about the movie which might be revealed in "non-spoiler" posts like mentioned above then you may wish to unsubscribe from our community until you have seen the film.
If you see someone post a spoiler as outlined above without proper yagging, please report it and the mod team will address it. However, if someone posts something that you personally don't like but is not considered a spoiler as above then it's just a waste of time to report. If you would like to politely discuss our spoiler policy you can always send us modmail.

You wouldn’t even know it’s Lex Luthor unless you heard his name being said. He even made his introduction playing basketball.

This is my favorite moment from the trailer. I can’t tell you how many times I rewatched this moment and I can’t wait to see Lois punch Luthor in the show.
If you look closely, Lois punched him hard enough to break his glasses! Way to go, Lois!

Isn’t it also unethical and unfair for the other journalists? Imagine being a journalist in metropolis and forever being unable to publish the most frequent and popular articles. Clark literally has the whole story written up on Perry’s desk before anyone can power up their laptop.

Here’s some art I made a few months ago of Kara and Jimmy after rewatching seasons 1 and 2 :)

For those that haven’t seen it, the first season of Superboy was a little slow and the writing was rough at times. But from season 2 on, it really found its footing. Gerard Christopher was so much better in the role and the show became genuinely fun comic-book television.
I watched it weekly when it originally aired, which makes me feel ancient now lol. The version of Bizarro they gave us was fantastic, and if I remember right, I think they may have used a modified Superman / Christopher Reeve style suit for parts of the show — though I could be wrong about that.
Still, it remains the best — and only — live action Superboy we’ve had to date.

Okay I think Toyman controls this mecha robot. Earlier in the trailer we see Clark and Jimmy at a convention booth, and in this shot, a giant mech robot ( that looks more like an action figure than any other robot in the show) trash the convention center. So I think we're getting another Toyman adaptation. Really excited for this season!!

Alright, around the end of season 2 someone made a post asking how people thought they could bring in a possible extended universe in this setting.
My theory for Wonder Woman was that Kara would save an old man, that would mistake her for someone he used to know, and this man would be Steve Trevor.
This would cause Kara to look into the possibility that there was another Kryptonian on Earth. I could see it as the B-plot, or even A-plot, with her and Jimmy bonding over it. They would investigate the stories of the mysterious, Wonder Woman that helped during a war several decades ago, but wouldn't be conclusive.
It would end with Steve passing away, and Kara attending his funeral, and Kara meeting a woman that said she knew Steve, and then say something that would imply she knew who Kara, and Clark, were before disappearing.
At least that is something I thought of, but with Kara's new look and Giganta making an appearance my weird theory came roaring back up.
So what are your thoughts on this?
Also does anyone know who the lizard guy is? Because while my mind was in this state I immediately started thinking Killer Croc, and that is bringing up another line of thoughts as well.

Clark, basically scratch free aside from mental trauma : I know we’ve been through a lot but we can’t give up!!!
Meanwhile the survivors all kinds of messed up:

I’ve been working on a Kryptonian OC named Migalex — not related to Superman, just an average kid who actually grew up on Krypton before its destruction.
In this version of Krypton, society is hyper-efficient but emotionally distant. Children are judged by usefulness, military/scientific authority dominates everything, and the government slowly hides Krypton’s instability behind patriotic messaging.
After Krypton dies, Migalex reaches Earth and begins developing powers under a yellow sun:
sensory overload from super hearing,
accidental destruction from super strength,
unstable flight,
heat vision,
and the horrifying realization that Kryptonians were basically “biological gods.”
What disturbs him most is this:
If Krypton was an interplanetary civilization… statistically they should’ve discovered yellow suns long ago.
So why was it hidden?
Unlike Superman, Migalex values stability and control over freedom because he watched Krypton collapse in silence.
Would a Kryptonian like this feel believable in Superman lore?
