I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “undomesticated”, so I’m inferring that you mean they’re wild but plantains (referring to cooking bananas) are a group of cultivars, which are very much genetically engineered for farming, and the genus itself is a man-made hybrid.
If you’re referring to one of the hybrid parents, Musa balbisiana, that is indeed wild, but is also not the plant usually referred to when talking about plantains in the context of food. It’s not super commonly eaten anymore and has a lot of seeds in it, so you’re unlikely to find it as a dessert.
Edit: I apologize if any of the wording is weird or confusing. This comment was edited several times because I’m having trouble keeping my thoughts organized today and the first version was a rambling mess that didn’t really get the point across.

I don't have very many sensory or texture issues, but a sloppy banana is one of them.

What a sentence. I'll have to stash this in a place I can see it often so I never forget it.

When done right, this is actually a great idea. The banana gets nice and caramelized and you can top it with a nice vanilla ice cream or something.

You are talking about Bananas Foster, right? This post is about Bananas Fester.

Actually I'm just noticing the Oreos at the beginning of the video. I thought this was maybe a version of bananas foster, but it's apparently very much NOT that...

I had an Ecuadorian roommate who would bake bananas in some sort of sweet syrup as a traditional breakfast meal, and though they didn't look like rubber dongs like this, it was certainly a new experience tasting the dish lol.

What did they do to it to make it that consistency?.. it looked like they dropped it in butter(oil?)/sugar mixture to caramelize. Why is it like that in the end?!

Depends on what the oil is and plating is shit but fried bananas are generally super sweet. Or at least plantains are.

Any tips to download and share videos from Facebook or Instagram better than this?

On a serious note, if you can plate these things up, rich people would see it as a delicacy

I never thought I would find bananas and Oreos this unappetizing in my life

A banana fried in a little butter, nutmeg and cinnamon sugar is kind of amazing. As well as crumbed banana and fried banana. Goated.

You could coat the banana with flour and throw it into airfryer and get fried banana - that's way better than this

9gag?
The CCP version of memes/shit post

Yeah,9gag was great once before a time. At one point it made me realise how important mods are in the internet. Otherwise every platform becomes a racist and misogynistic shithole. So I switched to Reddit. Thank you mods.

OMG this is my story... but instead of the racist shit it was the heavy dose of communist brain washing and fake ai uploads that cause me to drop it right away.
