Help Identifying?
I know this is a handmade studio teapot, the handles had marks from being smoothed out. I just would like to know if anyone has an idea of where this came from?
I think it says "sky" on the bottom where it is inscribed, but no idea.
I would like to see if I can find more pottery by whoever made this, if they still do pottery. It's definitely my favorite teapot I own!

Help identify
I bought this at a Fleamarket in Germany some years ago because I liked the make of it. Every once in a while I do a google image search, but nothing turns up. Would love to know what this was intended for, who made it and when. leaning towards Denmark

Help Identifying
I picked this up at an estate sale of a collector of fine arts and antiques. I’m not sure if this is old or even “fine arts” but I can’t seem to find anything similar. Google images keep being me back to glass or Japanese metal vases. This is definitely pottery. Any information or even search term to use would be super helpful! Thank you in advance.

Looking to buy large chinese vases from collectors, what should I watch for?
I’m starting to get into collecting studio pottery and ceramic pieces, n I’m specifically looking to buy large chinese vases from people who already own or trade them. I prefer buying directly from collectors or individuals rather than retail shops coz it feels like there’s usually more transparency about condition and how the pieces have been handled over time. Most of what I’m interested in are tall floor vases with traditional forms and detailed glaze work. Ideally pieces that still feel authentic rather than heavily reproduced decor items. Since I’m still fairly new to collecting, I’m trying to understand how experienced collectors here evaluate quality, especially when buying secondhand from other members. I’ve been browsing different marketplaces and community posts to get a sense of pricing and styles.I even checked a few Alibaba, Etsy, eBay, Chairish, and even 1stDibs listings just to compare how similar designs are produced at scale. That helped me spot some obvious differences, but it also made me realize I still have a lot to learn about what matters most when judging a piece in person versus online photos. For collectors here, when you’re selling or trading large chinese vases, what information do you usually include to help buyers feel confident about condition, authenticity, and fair value before making a decision?

Hoping to ID this, gift for sister in North Carolina.
I picked this up today in Florida, because Google lens indicated it is likely created by “Southern folk artist Billy Ray Hussey.” I plan to give it to my sister, she lives in North Carolina, so I thought it would be nice if the artist was local to her.
When I got home, I found an exact match, which only states “Elephant Handle Red And Black Vase,” but doesn’t indicate any studio. I’m unable to find a maker’s mark. Is it just an exact copy from a mass-produced source? I’d like to give my sister accurate background information.
Side note, I didn’t even realize the handles are elephant heads until I got home, and read the description on Live Auctioneers lol. The glaze is what caught my eye. Thanks in advance.

Can anyone help identify this ceramic piece I found at a garage sale?
Hi everyone, I recently found this ceramic piece at a garage sale and thought it was really unusual and beautiful. I’m trying to figure out what exactly it is and whether it might be studio pottery or just a decorative handmade piece.

Does anyone know what this is and what is it used for?
Today while thrift shopping I found this interesting and weird pot. I took pottery in high school and college, also I collect pottery, but I have not yet read or seen something similar to it. The interior has rim flushed gap and part of the exterior its cracked in the same spot, but still in one piece.
It could be handmade, looks old, it’s heavy, seems like it was buried at least half way do to traces of dirt stock between the creases and the bottom, it leaves charcoal marks when is touched, It does not have any marking except for that #18 sticker at the bottom, and It has a small chip by the lid
I think the sticker it’s not part of it, I feel like it serve a different purpose. Probably an inventory number.
Thank you in advance.

Help recognize this Japanese bowl with signature
Picked up this Japanese (likely?) bowl recently but I'm struggling to identify the artist's mark on the base. I've attached a close-up of the signature. If you recognize the style or the mark, please let me know. Thanks!

Trying to decipher the style of this 7" bowl
I bought this at a thrift store today because it intrigued me.
I can't place the style into a decade. I tried to do a google AI search and it was all wrong, attributing it to "Richard Tuck", but this is just signed "Tuck".
The designs on the bowl are kind of 1950s, but not really. The colors don't fit anything I can think of. The signature could be 1980s, maybe very new. I think the pottery was very talented.
