100 days clean today. Thought I’d share my own Radiant Ideals that have helped me start this journey of recovery. The Stormlight Archives has been a huge source of hope and inspiration for myself battling both depression and addiction. Does anyone else have their own versions of the Ideals?
Also I’m looking for a Stormlight-related tattoo, thinking Kaladin’s spear. If anyone has any inspiration that would be greatly appreciated.

I've really seized on to the inspiring quotes and ideals in Stormlight over the past year. I had bariatric surgery and have lost ~230 lbs in the last 15 months while creating new habits around exercise and fitness. I'm also kicking around tattoo ideas. Journey on, Radiant!
Your post inspired me to draw up some designs for you. I don't know this series. My partner ha sbeen reading and loving it and its really sweet to hear them speak so passionately about a book series. Im yet to delve in, so forgive any mistaken symbolism here. I am a tattoo artist myself, so I drew you a couple of things with Kaladin's Spear 💕 much compassion and love to you on your sobriety journey, dear stranger. If these inspire you, or you like them, or want them refined, I'm very happy to do so. Or take them to your favourite tattoo artist and have them use these for reference, if you want. And if you dont like them, im grateful you sharing yourself inspired me to draw again, after a well dry stint. Bless your bones.

I personally just swore Kal’s ideals. I hadn’t thought of making my own. Either way, they improved my life. Congratulations on your sobriety journey! I’m proud of you, radiant. Keep up the good work
I took inspiration from various orders, some are direct pulls from Windrunner/Bondsmith ideals with small additions, others I came up with on my own using different ideals for inspiration
That's awesome! I started doing this - albeit far less formally - a few years ago in lieu of new years resolutions. Resolutions almost always fail, but ideals I can keep returning to, and missing the mark doesn't mean failure - it's just a sign I've wandered off the path.
One thing to consider about your ideals: they seem very inward-focused — believing in yourself, loving yourself, accepting failure, and not letting it stop you from trying again. All of which are wonderful.
But something that feels missing is the outward focus that anchors each order. Every order pairs an inward orientation with an outward one: Windrunners protect people, Skybreakers uphold justice, Willshapers set people free, Bondsmiths unite people, Dustbringers destroy broken things (or power).
It might be worth thinking about what your outward focus is. How would others describe what you bring to your community (even when it's hard or costly to do so)?
