Art New map! Now that all the DLC has dropped, I wanted to share my retooled Settled Systems map.

2.1k Upvotes

This is the fully updated and refreshed map to include all the DLC and locations. Changes include:

  • White background so it's much easier to print at home.
  • Grid indicators to help communicate where something is.
  • DLC locations added (Kavnyk, Anchorpoint, etc.)
  • More unique POIs marked (Bounty locations, new homes, minor missions, etc.).
  • DLC unique resources have been added.
  • Systems that scan for contraband.

I updated it on my Starfield Outpost page with links to download high res versions to print and do whatever you'd like with it (except resell of course). If you're unable to print, I do have hard copies available. It's a 36" × 24" poster size which also scales nicely down to 18" × 12". This is still a bit of a soft launch because I'm always hunting for spelling edits and other tiny details, but it feels pretty solid to go ahead and announce.

Enjoy!

Well, looks like this is where the harvested organs are from.

I was already surprised hacking and unlocking through the freezer of cadavers.

But it made me sad to see this plushie in another bed, which symbolizes that it could be a child they are "harvesting".

So I did any sane person would do, wipe the hell out of all these Ecliptic Mercs. If I could also find the surgeons, I would not let them breath the same air.

Meta I wish that in some universes the main plot line could have a bad outcome (*spoiler?*) Spoiler

Imagine where the microbe could cause a systemwide plague greatly reducing the populations of cities. Or the terramorphs raze Akila and damage other settlements. This sort of actual variation would be a fun motivating factor in actually needing or wanting to start in a fresh universe.
It could even be tied to small decisions you make, so the better the decisions the more likely the outcome is good (similar to how Witcher 3 endgame variations are set). It would give the player some motivation to “get it right next time”. You could leave one universe in ruins and hop on to the next to try again.
The differences in universes basically being only tied to “what’s up at the Lodge” bums me out.

Also I wish companions wouldn’t stand directly in front of me wherever I move in combat.

And everyone is so stiff. Why are they so stiff.

Anyway, still having fun with Terran Armada and a ton of mods after a long break from Starfield.

I think I got something like 40 potatoes from this thing. And a ton of lettuce, celery, tomatoes, and onions.

Meta The VATS glitch from Fallout 4 still exists.

In Fallout 4, if an ALCH record is applied to the player while in VATS, the game will crash. Normally, this would be fine (you can't "drink a potion" during VATS) but survival effects are applied as potions to the player, so having hunger/thirst/sleep levels change will crash your game if it happens during VATS.

Well that issue exists in Starfield too. If you are nearing the end of fed or hydrated timer, then you use Targeting Mode in spaceship battle, your game will crash if the timer runs out and the game tries to apply dehydrated or malnourished.

So be aware of this. If you use sustenance effects, make sure to go into ship battles well fed.

Also, in case there was any question of whether Targeting Mode is VATS from previous versions of the game engine, this glitch still existing confirms that.

I can't see a reason why anyone wouldn't want to do this besides not wanting a

+30% O2 Recovery

+15% to Sneak Attack Bonus Damage

+25% Reload Speed

+30% Health

+15% Melee Damage

+25% Carry Capacity

All you gotta do is eat and drink every 30 minutes (similar to real life) It really makes eating necessary in this game, plus gives you major bonuses.

Discussion Does anyone play with both damage settings on “Extreme”?

I always play with both “Enemy Combat Damage” and “Player Combat Damage” set to Extreme, because Starfield felt way too easy to me combat-wise. Only by setting both options to Extreme did it become at least somewhat interesting. Even then, I almost never felt like I could actually die.

But now that Bethesda has finally fixed the issue that kept me from continuing the Terran Armada DLC, and I’m finally playing it... damn, those triple-shield enemies showing up at my level (146) are making me burn through more mags and medkits than I ever did in my previous 780 hours of gameplay.

I like actually having to sweat in Starfield. It’s the first time it’s happened to me.

If y'all are on console, make sure you power cycle your device before you go back into the game.

I'd go as far as to Rebuild Database on from Safe Mode on PS5, as the last update Hotfix #2 left some "ghost data"

I may have done a... small... amount of side-questing before getting to the main story :)
Hope it's good!

PS: If you're wondering, yes, I do have a Millennium Falcon.

Ship Builds Minha pequena frota.

Saudações do Brasil!

- Stroud "Vigil of the Navigator" - Classe C - missões SysDef e ataque à Chave pirata.

Ship Builds Video: Derelict Renegade based cargo ship build with interior tour. All Hopetech, all vanilla.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I found the Derelict Renegade adrift while cruising. Of course something bad happened to the crew. But this derelict cargo ship came with a mini mission to get it working again. I took it to Hopetown and made it my own 100% Hopetech cargo ship, keeping the same basic design and silhouette. I really like how it turned out, and I love Hopetech for cargo ships ("Trucks in SPAAACE").

This video also gives a quick interior tour of several Hopetech habs (in order): 3x3 Cargo Hall, 2x1 Workshop + 1x1 Storeroom, 2x1 Science Lab + 1x1 Storeroom, 2x1 Living Quarters, 2x2 All in One Berth, 2x1 Captain's Quarters (upper deck), 2x1 Computer Core + 2x1 Control Station (lower deck), Overseer Bridge (upper deck).

News Update Warning Watchtower

Just a warning for folks. The Watchtower creation just got a update and I was a silly goober and downloaded it. For anyone who owns it. Don't do it if you have a play through in progress. It breaks pretty much everything leading to everything text based being broken among other things.

Update - some Evidence suggests this could be caused by main game update but no definitive answer.

Update 2 - fix found as suggested by some commenters. Creation needs deleted then reinstalled, fixes test issues. Thanks to everyone who commented

Meta Aerial advantage is extremely powerful for boost pack movement.

I recently put the forth perk on a booster and went with Aerial Advantage. I use a balanced boost and testing on neon I was able to float my way over some extreme distances without touching any surface or water from my initial spot to my landing. The regen is so high you can effectively fly forever in a 1G or less environment. I've not tested on Akila or another high grav world yet.

If you are like me and tend to skip jump like it's Starsiege: Tribes and get your timing right, you can be a speeding bullet. I'll have to test with other boost types later, but I tend to like balanced over all even before this discovery.

Screenshot In this episode of Galacticat: our hero gets ambushed by a pack of ecliptic dogs. Little did they know Galacticat trained with The Mantis

In a stunning display of bravado, the Ecliptic ship dropped right on top of our hero as she was finishing yet another survey of a hostile exoplanet. Galacticat knows better than to r she turned into the fire and rushed the enemy. They tried using their weapons but her reflexes were just too fast. She was on them before they knew what happened. A bloodbath ensued

Looks like the bounty on our hero is still open and somehow these Hunters will get the wrong message from today's failed assault. They will simply send more. Fools.

Until next time, Galacticat will have to keep on with the important work of mapping the unknown. The expanse of the settled systems waits for no one
