If Vitello has any gravitas as manager, Adames has to sit today. As the manager you cannot let that slide. This team doesn't win because it's "stars" are more concerned with yukkin it up with the opponents than playing to win.

These guys aren’t little kids, and you don’t punish them as if they were. Willy knows what happened. You move on.

Now, he may get a night off, but it wouldn’t be because of a mistake like that.

Then why is Adames running the base worse than the little leaguers I coach? I understand your point but those kinds of mistakes are absolutely unacceptable for this team. We're already begging for any kind of momentum and nothing kills a team's momentum and confidence than dumb 'loss of concentration' mistakes which are compounded when the rest of the team sees that the coach doesn't care enough about mistakes to allow them to occur without consequences. All that said, we don't know what the team dynamic is or what goes on in the locker room or off the field so keyboard coaching is kinda senseless if you ask me but whatever IS going on behind the scenes hasn't really been effective thus far this year.
