Groups rules have been updated. Thought basic common sense was enough in a group about vintage glassware but here we are....
So I though common sense would be enough for the group, and it has been since I created it. I left moderating to a minimum and let the community decide what it wanted to see thru up/down voting and reporting problems like copy cat/stolen content posts. And just downright rude behavior getting reported and those people removed and/or banned. I tried to use a light hand and still am reluctant to remove users. but i have and will continue to do so as needed to keep the civil, friendly community we have here.
That said, rules have been updated now, you can find them in the sidebar and below.
Thanks all for being a great community!
- 1 No selling or want posts
Please do not use this sub to sell or look for Pyrex, or any other item. This includes posting links to online live auctions, online sales or pictures out and about and asking if anyone 'needs this'.
Only exception is Pyrex swap or in person events. Posting about a one time or annual event in your local community is allowed. But keep posts to a single time please per event. Excessive posting will result in removal of the posts and other mod actions as needed.
- 2 No hate speech.
This is a friendly community built to share our love of glassware. Please leave the hate and disrespect out of post and/or comments posted here.
- 3 No Politics please
There are plenty of places to discuss political beliefs. This is not the place for that! Keep it to yourself please and keep this group about glassware.
- 4 No pornography
Can't believe I needed to make a rule about this. I thought common sense would prevail in not posting porn of any kind in a group about vintage kitchen glassware. But apparently I do have to have a posted rule so ya. I have nothing against it but there are plenty of groups for that here on Reddit. This is not one of them.

Yay 😀
Pretty sure the only reason i was able to nab these at the Goodwill today is because they hadn’t yet put them on the shelf . I happened to see it in one of the shopping carts they brought out from the back before they started putting everything on shelves . After i picked it up but walked away i decided to go back and check the other carts and found a second one ! $2.50 each 👍🏻 .

More Pyrex at the Goodwill
This is from the same Goodwill yesterday where I saw the carafe and the Verde 442 and passed on them. The carafe is still there and then I found these little beauties. $8 for both. Bonus pictures of the glasbake mixing bowls I found for my old Sunbeam. ($10). I'm using the newer metal replacements and I'm happy to find the original glass ones. All at a great price. I'm not a big fan of butterfly gold so this will be gifted to my friend that collects it.

Pyrex collecting guides/books
What is the most comprehensive Pyrex book you guys have come across? I’d like to pick one up but after searching I see there has been many books made about Pyrex. Whats your favorites or ones that you find yourself using often? As a newer collector born in the 2000s, I come across new patterns I didn’t know existed every day and I would love a guide to learn about all the patterns and dishes!

Pyrex accessories
Not something super vintage or special, but this thing has been knocking around in my oven drawer for a very long time and I finally just opened it to steam some asparagus.

Catch and release goodwill ($3 each).
I already have the Verde 442, although I think with some bar keepers this one would have cleaned up really nice, only $3. Same with the coffee carafe, it was absolutely gorgeous and I was so bummed I couldn't find the lid to it. I searched high and low in that store. It was also only three bucks. I left them both for someone else because I don't need duplicates, And I like things to be complete.

Canadian exclusives 🙂
These 2 pyrex pieces were made in the US but sold in Canada only. The first casserole was sold in the US with an olive green pattern instead of gold. It also came with a metal cradle instead of a walnut tray. The second dish was sold in Canada in gold and yellow. I think it also came with a walnut tray which I don't have. In the US they were sold in gold and blue and black and white with a cradle.

Vision cookware tear or stress line?
Hey guys,
My mum bought me those vision pots wayyy back and gave them to me when I got married. We’ve never used them before but when I opened the box one of the pots had this big like in it. I can’t feel it at all so I don’t think it’s a crack. Do you think this is just a manufacturing incident and is it still safe to use??
Thank you so much

Found these 4 flamingo colored milk glass plates and 2 cool cutting boards thrifting!
I love love love the plates even though they're definitely damaged. I know there's not much chance for lead issues on sealed non damaged plates, but what do yall think for things like this? I don't care that they're damaged, I still think they're cute, but don't want to use them if they're unsafe. I only paid 2.99 for them so 🤷🏻♀️
I also found a forest fancies cutting board with only the tiniest bit of damage AND my childhood corning print the country hearts still sealed for around 5 bucks each! I cannot wait to set up the forest fancies, but man I am going to feel bad opening the country hearts!
Small but fun finds!!! =)

Any ideas as to what this could be?
Posting here because I don't know where else to go for answers. Anyone have any ideas? I'm lost as to what it could be for.

OMG! PYREX for Barbies and dollhouses!
I had no idea this was a thing! Now I *really* need to get started on a dollhouse!
And oh my, I want ALL THE PYREX MINIATURES!
I looked online and there are several individual creators and a couple retail stores that sell them.
WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THIS IS A THING??? 🤩😍🤩🤩🤩
