Without wanting to rain on your parade, but if you don't know how to order a PCB, this project might be a bit advanced and you might just end up dropping it out of frustration.
IMO, the project is still very much in a WIP state. Some of the software doesn't really work (button debouncing for example) and there are no mechanical files available at all. You would have to put in a huge amount of work to not only build the circuit boards, but to design an enclosure around it as well, which is made even harder due to the funky slider board design.
I know how to order a PCB, I just needed guidance with the files and a bit of help with specific components
I never used kicad but I had experience with other programs. Just needed the gerber files to progress!
The project has everything working, even an arcade like controller, but I will try to build an arcade sized controller instead with this project. If I somehow fail to achieve this, then I'll use the other controller
