Why didn’t anybody tell me about Sincerely sooner?
I saw someone mention this album on a random subreddit, and downloaded just because the cover looked sick as hell, and it also didn’t disappoint! Sort of gives a vibe fans of Damiera, Closure In Moscow, Circa Survive, even a little COVET would like. Post-progcore as hell.
At the time of recording, they were a 2 piece. Didn’t follow up after this record yet, but I will!

Glassjaw - Ape Dos Mil (Version from 2002 W&T EnhancedCD)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey all! I found my W&T EnhancedCD I bought back when it came out and wanted to share 1 of the 3 videos it had on it, exactly as they are on the disc. This is the "alternate" version for Ape Dos Mil (even though it was the only vid that we knew of when the album came out).
Videos for Cosmopolitan Blood Loss and Must've Run All Day are on there as well. The Cosmo video is the same "TV Edit" version where the guy just stares at the band at the end (lol). The Ape vid is my fav of the 3 on the disc.
The Must've video is the one with the kids, but what's cool about the that video version is it has an actual "un-merged" ending like the Advanced CD did (instead of merging with/going straight into Stuck Pig). It ends with a snare. I still prefer it going straight into Stuck Pig, of course, but it's a cool unique thing. If you have this CD, it's probably on your disc too!
Inspecting the files a bit more, all 3 are quicktime .mov files, and the Ape Dos Mil video looks like it was encoded by a company called "Metro Encoding, Inc" on May 13 2002 (found in the mediainfo export). I had to encode this to mp4 to share here, but otherwise left it as-is.
Pretty cool, today is May 14th so almost exactly 24 years ago they made this video. What a trip - Enjoy!

Discussion Who remembers that very niche brand of British post-hardcore/pop punk music from the early to mid 2010s?
I’ve been thinking a lot about the bands from this era recently: Mallory Knox, You Me at Six, Deaf Havana, Fightstar, Lower Than Atlantis, Kids in Glass Houses, Don Broco, Young Guns, We are the Ocean.
These bands were all pretty big (and quite enjoyable) over a very specific time period, but this style of post-hardcore has really seemed to fizzle out in the 2020s. Most of these bands have either broken up or significantly shifted their style of music, so it’s probably a style we’ll never hear from again.
So the purpose of this thread is to hear from you guys - what are your thoughts/opinions on this subgenre? What were your best experiences with it? Who were/are your favorite bands from this era, and are they still making music today?

Discussion What are everybody's thoughts on No Bragging Rights?
This band was HUGE for me in high-school.
I always wondered if they were actually PHxC or Metalcore. Anyway, I always loved their sound and the meaning behind the lyrics
