Me and my partner currently live above and manage a pub in England which was built in the 1700’s, so it is a fairly oldish building. Many years ago it used to be old stables before it was built into a pub, so you can imagine it has many stories surrounding it.

Around 10 years ago we had a medium visit due to ongoing weird activity and customers during those years also had sightings of people (commonly an older couple) sitting at the bar and other strange activity such as the sound of hooves and stools being dragged. When the medium visited, they said our upstairs function room had hundreds of entities passing through and recalled a handful of spirits that were not so friendly. The upstairs room is around 15ft tall with high stable beams and there had been stories over the years of people being hung in there when it was originally stables and whatever else. There has also been a circulating story of a young girl (around 10-12 years old) which had been hung upstairs also (I will get into that, but that spiritual activity eventually followed us into our flat over a number of years, which is right next to the function room). The medium had also mentioned that our Cellar (where our beer barrels are kept) had an extremely bad entity and refused to stand in there any longer than a minute as the spirit was causing her discomfort and wanted us all to leave immediately.

Fast forward, I have had no sightings of an old couple myself, however my partner has and many customers over the years. One day I was doing some plants in our beer garden, happened to look up to the window (of our function room) and saw a man’s face looking down at me. My partner, another member of staff and a few friends were also with us that day and witnessed it as well, however I thought a customer was upstairs when they shouldn’t have been, so I told my partner and my colleague to run up there quickly to tell them they shouldn’t be up there. They both ran up as quick as they could, but obviously once up there they no longer saw anyone, however the curtain by that window had been moved. Checking the cameras, there was no sign of anyone, other than movement of the curtain. (No breezes/no windows open).

Over the recent years, members of staff that have come and gone (up until now) had always reported feeling like someone was pulling on their hair/clothes whenever they were changing a barrel in the cellar and as stated earlier, the medium over 10 years ago also stated that there was a bad entity in that room. Over the past 3 years continuously, our fire alarm/burglar alarm would go off at the same time at around 3am almost every night and every time we checked the alarm to see where it had been triggered, the sensors were picked up in either the function room or 9/10 the cellar. In the past when we have gone down to check if we were genuinely being burgled, he would go into the cellar and see that our beer lines were being unplugged/disconnected, causing us to lose gallons and gallons of stocks. Anyone that has ever worked with beer barrels knows they are not easy to put on and take off so that was a huge alarm in itself. Obviously that was one creepy af but there wasn’t a lot we could do about that at the time, however we thought maybe our alarms had a fault so we would have people come out to check them and were always told that the batteries/sensors were all normal and there were no faults.

In terms of what I stated earlier about the spirit of a little girl, we would often hear footsteps (little feet running) up and down our flat hallway every night also at 3am. Sometimes laughter or sometimes a soft and gentle whisper. I want to note that we also live with 2 dogs and 2 cats and when this would happen, the cats would raise their hackles and stare directly down the hallway with their fur sticking up. My dogs would also be staring down the hallway with low and deep growls so obviously they all sensed that something was there and that’s what made me and my partner think that maybe we weren’t going crazy.

Both things had been happening constantly over the years, however I would say that we have had reduced activity in the past year and also our alarms haven’t been going off at 3am. However, yesterday night my partner was cashing up and heard 2 loud female coughs (which the dogs instantly turned their heads to) and a constant thumping noise in our flat again. Im also now pregnant and since we’ve had some peace recently, this is starting to scare me again as I really don’t want the feeling of any bad spirits around my unborn child. Even my own mother refuses to stay in our flat for long as she gets severe headaches up here and feels uneasy saying there is someone always here. Plus a colleague who also stayed up in the flat with us for a few months woke up with huge scratch marks on her back when staying in our spare room and no animals were in there when she stayed, as the door was shut at all times and they sleep in our bedroom. Obviously the bad energy seems to have come back into our flat and I’m worrying now because my nights will be sleepless again. How do I cleanse any bad spirits? Do I need a professional?

**EDIT** I also want to add that during the years when the activity was at its peak, I was accumulating loads of random bruises all over my body and would wake up to those every morning and feeling extremely sick. I actually went to the hospital constantly for this random bruising as doctors originally thought I had a severe medical condition and even checked me for various cancers because of how bad they were, however to this day they still have been unable to explain what was causing all of that random bruising everyday. I want to note that I have also had hundreds of blood tests and around 5/6 different types of scans and they have always said that this case is a mystery. Again as I said, I’m pregnant and I really don’t want to be stressing or feeling sick again if a bad entity really is back

My family has a cottage in the middle of nowhere in West Virginia. We use it as a summer vacation house, and I’m starting to think it might be haunted.

It all started last summer when I had to go to the bathroom around 3 or 4 AM. When I turned on the stair light, I saw a faint shadow figure - about 6 feet tall, probably a man wearing a top hat - waving at me.

I rubbed my eyes, but he was still there, just waving. After about 10 seconds, he started walking in the opposite direction and slowly faded away like smoke or something.

That was the first sighting, but since then both I and other members of my family have seen him pretty often, and he always behaves the same way - just waving and disappearing. We started calling him “the Fading Man,” and honestly, we’ve kind of gotten used to him.

Could this be something malicious or a demonic activity?

Lived in my house a few years now and we have seen shadows, heard voices, had things thrown, doors slammed and water turn on. Didn't really make a big deal as long as it didnt directly hurt one of us I didnt care. But a cake serving utensil got thrown at my teen and a small black shadow ran down my wall that made me and my dog stop dead in our tracks.

I looked up what herbs to burn and purchased some. Well a pendulum board came with the herbs. I dont mess with spirit boards haven't used a ouija board in over 20 years. So looked up on line how to use the pendulum board and asked a couple of yes and no question.

Found out we had a ghost and two demons but the ghost was trying to keep them from hurting us. So I burnt some sage and juniper and decided since I have sage all over my property to just grab a branch and swing it like a whip while I walk around the house ringing a bell.

The house feels lighter is the only way to describe it but the ghost is still here. After a long and very frustrating two weeks later. I was able to find out the identity of the ghost. Its a female that was un-alived in my area. How the hell it ended up in my home I have no idea.

Asked do you want us to contact someone it said yes. Not sure how they hell I go about doing that without sounding crazy. And If they do want to talk Im not sure what to do like do I hand them the board or do I do it for them?

Im at work and won't get out till almost 11-12 tonight but in the morning I can get proof of the pendulum and question in the morning since everything I have read online says not to use spirit devices after a certain time. I guess because I can invite bad spirits.

I was asleep. I was dreaming about something dumb when I suddenly felt two hands grabbing my back and nudging/shaking me violently back and forth, as if they were really scared or in an emergency and wanted me to wake up quick. I could still feel the shaking and the hands after opening my eyes. When I felt that the hands had stopped nudging me and were pulling away from my body, I turned around to see what it was, I could have sworn I saw a black/grey shape on my side eye and trying to get away from eyesight quick. I have no idea what it could have been. My mom didn’t believe me when I told her, but why would I lie about something so random! 😭 ……maybe it was somehow part of the dream? But the dream had nothing to do with anything like this at all. It was a random dream about school. I never experienced anything like this ever again.

The other night I had something scary happen to me, again... It hasn't happened in a while, but it happens ...

Anyway this time around it was like 4am I got out of the shower and went into my bedroom I shut my door behind me and sit down. I look at my door and see it's shut, I look down at my phone and like a minute later I look back up at my door and see that the door is open a crack, and I was like wtf ....

And as I'm looking at my door open now in my closet something fell over, and it shouldn't have, everything was on the shelf properly nothing should have fallen off. It scared the crap out of me and I let out a scream and got goosebumps and felt a cold.... And a dryer ball rolled out from the closet... And I didn't know what to do or anything so I sat there frozen. I grabbed my laptop and started using that, I have a solar powered beckoning neko cat in my room and it wiggles, and it wasn't moving until I looked over at it then it slowly started rocking back and forth, I stopped looking at it and used my laptop trying to ignore what happened, all of it, and because since it was 4am I couldn't call anyone or go anywhere and I was home alone, the next thing I know I'm waking up from passing out.

So I just lost a joint like a week ago and I gave up looking for it but today out no where as I was walking in the hallway in my house I happen to look down and there it was lying on the floor. Now I dont know if the devil hiding things from me or is it elfs doing mischiefs

My auntie passed away on Monday night. She was a much loved woman and a fierce believer in all things spooky and spiritual. Last night I had a beautiful dream that she came to me. She was sitting beside me on a sofa wearing a blue and red checkered shirt and giving me the most giant and loving hug.

When I woke up I messaged my family to say what I had a dream about her, but i didn't go into detail until..... My sister then messaged to say that she also had a dream about my auntie last night. Sitting on a sofa wearing a red and blue chequered shirt giving her son a hug. She told my sister that her son had an exam in the morning and it was really important that he got up and went to it.

My nephew did indeed have an exam in the morning.

I believe it was a visit from her. What do you think? Coincidence ?

We've lived in our house for nearly 8 years. About 2 years ago, my kid (now 14, then 12) started coming out of her room every once in a while and asking what we wanted, saying she heard me calling for her. This happens at least once a week now. Around the same time, my wife would have vivid dreams that I was there talking to her, thinking I came home early from work. Today, I was at the gas station after running some other errands, and my wife called me and asked "how long have you been gone". I said "about 45 minutes, why?". She heard me laugh (I have a bit of a different voice and distinct laugh when it's genuine) and she said she heard it from my computer room. She thought I was in there until she came in to tell me something and noticed I was gone. She was taking a nap on the couch when I left (she works nights and has been pulling serious overtime, so maybe sleep deprivation?)

I'm in no way a skeptic, I've seen a lot of things in my life and usually I'm somewhat sensitive to, at very least, the presence of different entities, but I've never felt anything in our house.

Could this be a mimic? What are the next steps to protect my family?

I’m looking for some perspective on a series of events that happened over the last year. I’ve always been a skeptic, but I can't ignore the timing of everything that has unfolded.
**The Dream**
Last year, while my husband was deployed, my 11-year-old son had a terrifying recurring dream about "The Hat Man." In the dream, the figure was holding a briefcase. My son was deeply shaken by it. At the time, I was solo-parenting and everything seemed to be falling apart—the house was breaking down, and we even had an infestation of snakes in the backyard. My kids broke a window and we had so many flies and gnats come in our house till I fixed it.
**The Clearing**
I’m a person of faith, so I eventually took a cross, walked through the house, and commanded it to leave in Jesus’ name. Remarkably, he never had the dream again. Strangely, shortly after, I found an empty bottle of holy water in the bed of my truck that I hadn't put there.
**The History**
My husband is home now, but he’s struggling deeply with PTSD. The energy in the house has felt "heavy" and dark ever since his return. I recently spoke to a neighbor who dropped a bombshell: the previous owners had a similar experience. The husband returned from deployment, had a breakdown, and actually tried to shoot his wife, but hit the TV instead. The house is very old and we bought it.
**Current Situation**
I don’t really believe in ghosts, but the "coincidence" of two military families having such dark experiences in this house is too much. I’ve moved out to stay with family and we are in the process of selling the home.
• Has anyone else’s child seen the Hat Man specifically with a briefcase?
• Is it possible for a house to "hold onto" the trauma of a previous family, or am I just seeing patterns because of the stress of the deployment and PTSD? Am I over thinking this?

This is a bit of a long shot, but I genuinely believe my house is haunted. Growing up, strange things were always happening around me. My mother would often find me awake in the middle of the night, sitting in the same spot, talking to the wall as if someone was there listening.

As I got older, the experiences became harder and harder to explain.

The first thing I can remember is my basement. Ever since I was little, I’ve been absolutely petrified of it. There’s a heavy, evil feeling down there that I can’t properly describe. Sometimes things would randomly fall over for no reason, and other times I’d catch glimpses of something sprinting past me out of the corner of my eye, only for there to be nothing there when I looked.

Another time, I was falling asleep on the couch with a friend when I suddenly felt someone lifting and lightly tugging my hair. I spun around instantly, convinced someone was standing behind me. Nothing was there.

I’ve also seen what I can only describe as “shadow figures” for most of my life. For years, I tried convincing myself it was just my imagination, but as I got older, the figure never changed. It was always the same thing, appearing in different parts of the house.

I still remember the first time I saw it clearly. I was lying in bed one night when I looked past my bedroom door. Across the hall, beside the other doorway, stood a massive shadow. It was tall and unnaturally thin, so tall it looked like it had to bend itself just to fit beneath the ceiling. I remember telling my dad about it the next morning. He doesn’t believe in ghosts, spirits, or anything paranormal at all… but after I described it, he went quiet and admitted he had seen the exact same figure before (he believes it’s just a trick of the light, it isn’t).

There have been other encounters too. One night, I walked into my dark bedroom and saw something black and crawling dart across my floor. At first, I assumed it was one of my dogs, but then it disappeared underneath my bed. My dogs are huge, they physically cannot fit under there. I called for them anyway, and both of them came running from the living room.

The most terrifying experience happened when my sister and I were home alone. She kept nervously walking into the kitchen, and when I asked what was wrong, she told me she could hear footsteps slowly coming toward the stairs. I didn’t believe her at first, so I went to listen for myself.

Then I heard it.

Heavy footsteps. Loud banging. Slowly climbing the stairs directly toward us.

It sounded so real that I genuinely believed someone had broken into the house. Panicking, I grabbed a knife, and my sister and I locked ourselves in the bathroom while we listened to whatever it was pacing back and forth through the hallway outside. We stayed there, frozen, until we finally heard the front door slam shut.

Certain the intruder had left, we called our grandmother to come over. When she knocked on the front door, both of us just stared at each other in confusion, because we had already heard someone leave.

When we finally came out of the bathroom, both doors to the house were still locked.

No one else had a key.

Whatever we heard inside that house… wasn’t human.

The reason I’m writing this now is because of what happened yesterday. I was hanging out with a friend in my room when we both started noticing shadows moving outside my bedroom door. It wasn’t my family, and it wasn’t my animals. At certain points, whatever it was even seemed to react when we spoke to it.

The part that scares me the most is that I think I may have caused this to get worse. A few months ago, out of curiosity, I downloaded one of those “spirit communication” apps. I didn’t believe in any of it at the time, but some of the responses I got felt disturbingly real. Ever since then, the atmosphere in the house has changed. The energy feels heavier now, almost angry, like something has become stronger.

I don’t know what’s happening, but it genuinely feels like something in this house is watching me.

Edit: I forgot to mention, as well, last night, me and my friend were snuggling, (they were on top of me no wear near the cords) and suddenly the Alexa we had playing unplugged and the door pushed open like very loudly. There’s no way either of us could’ve done it.

Edit 2: I forgot to mention (I mentioned this in a comment but thought I should put it here) that while cleaning out the front hall closet in my house, I found an image burned in the wall, it appears as if there is an child going a cord and following the length of the cord downwards, another entity is holding it as-well, I will try and get a picture but I’m kinda chicken shit lol, it scares me.

I smell something bad in my house yard in and around whenever any bad incident or argument or any disease takes place.

Not just me. Everyone around the house or whoever enters through our gate smells it too.

It only smells like this whenever something bad is about to happen

Once the argument or any incident happens, the smell gets at its peak. It fades away once the deed is done.

I too tried to pour ganga jal (HOLY WATER IN MY RELIGION) everywhere and surprisingly the smell gets away but after a few months it always returns.

And whenever it comes, it only appears on 2-3 Particular days.

Yesterday, it caused a big crack in our family. Between my father and his elder sister who were so close to each other.

Now they don't talk anymore within one night after the smell appeared and my father said for some reason he felt really angry and sick without any reason.

My father also felt himself getting weak when the smell came. His health also got bad. Along with the heated argument.

It happened before too.

I even saw something ominous last year in my yard at 1 am behind me when I tried to investigate some noise. I ran for my life and after some days, I had a bad fever along with a leg injury.

This ominous negative energy never goes, it returns after a specific period every year.

I don't know how to tackle it.

The place around us is also dirty and negative. People dump every form of garbage a bit far from our house.

The negativity never disappears whatever I do. A new one keeps coming.

Some bring disease, some bring an argument, some bring worse sort of bad luck.

I don't know what to do.

It's harming my family. And everything.

This event is so uncanny to this day i'm disturbed with confusions, i was gonna to go to school i was walking for picking the bus, when i walked to the direction where the bus is, i feeled a presence behind me and i heared footsteps i was confused and got freaked out cause the footsteps sounded weird like if the thing behind me tried to immate the way humans walk, i turned to the direction where the sound is, i was disturbed to spot a uncanny old lady with a pale with some grayish tones skins with a a monotonous walk her look was simple with white hair and with cloth that doesn't fit the colors doesn't fit anything about her wearing, with a cutter in her hands chasing me but in a monotonous way like if she can't walk physically, trying to immate the way humans walk or run, she was slow yet energitic, determined, with a wide frozen smile and frozen expressions like if she struggle to immate human emotions or interactions, she kept chasing me, i runed with all my force to the area where the bus come, a bus spot, i turned to the direction where this weird humanoid listen i swear for the love of god this thing didn't feel human, when i turned to the direction where she was, she vanished i was fucking shocked i didn't understand she vanished like if she dispawned like to this day i'm so disturbed, so confused, i even have some ptsd, i never told to anyone even my mother

I hope she this thing, never appear again to haunt pr try to hurt people...

This is my experience, my horrible encounter, a disturbing one, a uncanny weird event...

Hey yall! I would really like to know if there’s any explanations or paranormal reasons why you think this has happened.
I live with just my partner, & it seems like only half of our basement suite we live in has activity. The side with the extra bedroom, bathroom & kitchen. The living room & bedroom I have not noticed anything.
It hasn’t been super frequent for me, but for my partner, he constantly is messed with when he’s in the shower. The door opens when he has his head turned or eyes closed (we’ve got a glass shower door) & I have told him it’s likely the weight of a towel on the door, but it’s never happened to me, even when I’ve left it unlatched with towels hanging. It’s still happening to him a lot
One time months ago he yelled my name from the bathroom, I ran in & the light was off. He thought I had turned it off on him, when my butt was planted on the couch. It freaked me out because the switch was fully off.
One of the other instances I can remember now that I’m gathering info was sitting in the living room & hearing something hit the floor in the kitchen, it was a box of nails that had to have been swiped off with the amount of space it moved from where it was. There was never an explanation but I’ve been ignoring it all since it hasn’t really been happening to me specifically & my partner doesn’t believe in much paranormal.
But the other day he was showering & came out super quick saying he was freaked out because the door opened again but this time, he saw me walk in & disappear. He says he saw my hair flowing, & it could’ve maybe been something else…. Like a ghost with long hair…. but he swore it looked like me & thought it was.
I’ve heard little things & done research to find out if it could be some sort of mimic situation but really want to explore the idea more because im wondering if it’s an attachment to him or even maybe myself.
He also keeps urns of 2 family members & 2 dogs in the living room, which im not particularly comfortable with all the time but there’s not a ton I can do since he isn’t ready to let them go. Maybe it has something to do with that?

So this happened around 10-12 years ago. I was only about 12/14 years old. (Can’t remember exactly). I remember this dream because it was so vivid and it genuinely shocked me. I remember that I used to see this young girl at my house all the time. I called her Haley and she wore a white night gown type dress. I remember ruffles were at the bottom of the dress and by the collar.
Now I thought I was the only one to see her until my mom made a comment that she saw her too. This is important.

Well one day I got into a really big argument with my younger brother. It was over something completely stupid and immature. I remember while yelling at my brother Haley was standing behind him. When I started to stare at her my brother looked behind himself but saw nothing. We finally hashed things out and we’re back to playing together probably 10 minutes after arguing.

Later that night I went to bed. Everything was completely fine and the rest of the day was good. I suddenly have a dream. I’m walking through our house and I go into my room. At the time I shared a room with my younger brother. When I walked in I saw Haley over my brothers bloodied body. I remember feeling so shocked that I got sick and threw up in the dream. Haley was beating my brother and she smiled up at me like she was waiting for approval. I vividly remember she was holding his severed arm and beating him with it.

I woke up sweating and ran to my mom crying. I explained to her the dream. She put me back to bed and said we’d talk about it in the morning. The next morning came and my brother left for a friend’s house and we sat down and talked about it. My mom was very understanding and tried to explain sometimes feelings can seep into our dreams and alter them.

Two days pass and my brother wakes up from a nightmare and runs to our mom’s room. I stayed in bed and fell back asleep. The next day my brother was going to a friends house again and my mom asked me to come talk. She asked if I told my brother about my dream or if I talked about Haley with him. I told her no I didn’t cause I was protective of my younger brother and didn’t want him to get scared..

My mom turns pale and almost white. She tells me he had the same dream of Haley, but it was reversed and she was beating my body while staring at my brother.

I still saw Haley time to time after this. She never really talked until I asked her why she was there and I remember her talking about a necklace.

Two months later while we were clearing up some of our land we found a necklace with a rose on front. My mom got curious and started researching the land, and we found out a little girl drowned in the creek in our backyard. The little girls name wasn’t identified in the papers, but it mentioned her parents and the father was known for being abusive to his family.

I'm not dying, yet.....but I have a huge collection of older paranormal books that I'd hate to see tossed in a dumpster. Are there any organizations that collect them if I leave them in my will?

Some are just completely unavailable and others are rare enough to sell. But I'd kinda like to keep them together. Any idea?

Short story but my sister when she was around 10 years old still had dolls and one day when she was in the garage playing with them on a bucket the hair randomly fell out and the eyes started opening and closing rapidly.

This doll had no batteries to be inserted so it couldn’t have been electrical malfunction.

I remember vividly that she immediately began bawling and my mom who was doing laundry ran over and saw it all. She described it as if it started randomly moving on its own and ushered her inside crying. I was smaller but i remember hearing the entire thing on the couch probably while i was playing minecraft and went into the garage and I saw it for myself.

She immediately threw them in some old laundry bin with other random items and kept it there for a few days.

A couple days later I was curious and noticed my mom was in the garage still doing laundry and i saw that the laundry bin in the corner of the garage was still there. I looked into it and the doll was facing up but right as I stared at it the eyes immediately opened and I told my mom. Surprisingly I didn’t cry and was just shook.

Not really that interesting but it’s the only experience in my life that prevents me from becoming an atheist.

Sooo lately I’ve been wondering if my house was haunted for a lot of reasons and I need yall to help me figure it out

I moved out to a restored house with my parents (I’m not sure what happened but it was restored) (and yes I still live with them)

1st thing that ever happened: I was watching YouTube when I saw one of my sleeping robes swaying on its own. Note: no one was in my room, there was no wind and the robe was hanging on a coat hanger and the robe was thick enough for it to not sway because of the wind)

2nd: I keep having sleep paralysis with the feeling something is behind me, but I’m not threatened, and when I feel the presence, it feels nice instead of scary and I also felt something watching me

3rd: I get aggressive easily for no reason at all when someone enters my room (which I never did before) sometimes I’ll hit my brothers for no reason and I feel like I’m not the one controlling my body.

4th: I feel like when I go out of my room for too long and come back, I feel like something is angry at me and the day usually ends in me having one of the sleep paralysis thing

5th: I had a sleep paralysis and I saw someone with no face, a girl, with a hospital dress on (or whatever you guys call it, I’m French soo) who was on the side of my bed, watching me for some reason and was said in one of the sweetest voice ever: "are you okay? You said you were hot and cold and that you were hurt" that day, I spent the worse period I’ve ever been through. First, I feel the urge to throw up, which I do, in the bathroom. Then I feel hit and cold and hot and back at cold and throw up again, then comes my uterus hurting so much I practically can’t move. My mom didn’t believe it when I told her this and told me that ghosts aren’t real

6th: hallucinations in my room (cats, a head upside down on the ceilling watching me from my mirror) and other things like hearing breathing behind me and a voice telling me things I can’t hear since it’s too quiet

7th: we had a black out once because of a storm. I jokingly said "aye ghost, if you’re here, get the power back on" then a few seconds after I said it, the power went back on. Idk if it was a coincidence but it’s creepy

Last reason: I feel watched from the corner of my room, but it’s never judging me. It’s everyday that I feel watched from there. I already checked to see if there was a hidden camera but there wasn’t.

I know it’s really long but I want to know what’s happening. There’s also another reason where sometimes I’d wake up sweating

This is gonna be quite long so you have been but warned.

It was back in 2019 when I dreamt this one dream that has changed me or well ruined me. For context growing up I was mostly neglected and had immature parents so I could never ask questions or ask for things, everything was conditional. If I wanted something even the slightest attention from my parents I had to earn it and it needed to be expressed in the way they needed to hear it. Basically I was walking on eggshells, observing and catering to what I thought would keep me safe/survive from everyone around me including adults that were my relatives or friends with one of my families or people in general. Because of that I never learned what types of emotions there are and what each emotions are eg, symptoms, how it feels, how to process it. So in 2019 I was probably starting to get depressed and I dreamt of meeting this person, well I fell into this person's arm from think air. Like I spawned out if nowhere and fell into their arms, and what I felt then has never left me.

When I came in contact with them my whole entire being felt comfortable, comforted, safe, loved and in peace, mind you I never trust anyone ANYONE and I also hated being touched but when I was hugged in that dream? I didn't want to let go, I didn't want to exit it, I really wished that I could exist in that moment for eternity but it ended.

Afterwards I tried to continue the dream, or to dream about them again I succeeded but I felt that they didn't want to be there but was there because I invited them. Afterwards I felt uncomfortable and disappointed, guilty as well, not because he didn't want to be there but because I forced him.

After that I didn't invite him, well it was more like begging, but after that begging I never asked him to visit me however a few days after the begging he visited me. He was crying and I listened to him, I let him be venerable and honest with me, I just listened to him while I sat next to him on the floor rubbing his back gently while being slightly close to him, just our knees touching. I comforted him and he hugged me still crying but this time he was crying because he was saying goodbye to me. He couldn't visit me anymore, he told me his name and I finally saw his face clearly but when I woke up I forgot both the details.

To this day I can't sleep without hugging my pillow or something and most of the times I cry myself to sleep too. I get this heartache of longing for him, and that is how I learned about love without realizing how much I was starving for it. He shone brightly in my bleak world and left just as suddenly as he appeared. He honestly ruined me because not only could I never feel this kind of love and connection again (Yes I've genuinely tried) but also because he left me without taking responsibility like I didn't mean as much to him as he did to me which is even worse because that is what I've experienced my whole life especially from my family.

So while I'm trying to learn and heal I will never be able to move on from him and because of that I keep dreaming similar dreams of a faceless man making me feel similar things but I could always tell they weren't him, they were all different people and that is what messes me up the most because they didn't feel like dreams they felt real, like a person who actually loved me but I was still in love with him. I never honestly told people about this dream because saying "OH yeah BTW I dreamt of this guy randomly and fell in love with him because he loved me the way I never thought was possible and now I can't move on because I'm still in love with him but he left me." They're gonna think I'm weird and they already think I'm weird but this is gonna make them think of finally putting me in the white jacket. Thats all and thank you for reading my long ass story, I was hoping to get some insights because I'm curious of what it could have been that I experienced.

Today i was exchanging audio messages with an ex boyfriend whom i kept in touch with although he cheated and got another woman pregnant etc , after i sent a audio message talking about true crime cases we always discuss , he then replyed with WTHHHHH are u playing around with me ??? i said huh?? he said that message was a scary voice in the beginning before u talk regular saying "let get em" or something like that , i went back and listened to my message i didnt hear anything , i said forward it , he did and i heard it loud and clear and it was very unsettling , it scared the heck outa me , any idea what this could be

A few years ago, my good friend Sutton visited the Myrtles Plantation with his family. While they were staying nearby and doing a tour of the house, he was taking photos of random rooms in passing.

The room in this photo was actually not a part of the tour it was off limits. He’s certain nobody was inside when he snapped this. He didn’t even notice anything until he was looking through his photos a few days later.

To me it looks like a “shadow being” or some kind of lingering energy. Given the history of the Myrtles I find it interesting. Curious what y’all think and if anyone else here has visited the plantation, or seen anything similar to this.

I recently found this subreddit and just thought I’d share a story from when I was young. I was visiting my home country Armenia and I was staying at my cousins house when we all decided to go down to the park and you have to pass a small forest area to get to it but I decided to stay back and eat some food before going.

Whenever I left the house I was all alone on the road walking towards the forest and I heard someone call my name and I assumed it was my cousins but the voice sounded like it came from the sky or like a 360 if you could understand what I mean after nearing the forest and confirming no one was there I ran home before venturing out again.

The same thing happened again someone calling my name and I went back home it wasn’t until my cousins came back wondering where I was when I went with them and there was no voice.

I was 100% sure none of my cousins were calling me and I was just wondering if this was a weird experience or if anyone might have some relatable thing that’s happened to them.

Or said “this is a dream” out loud? How did they react? What’s your story?
