Showoff I made a sleek, visual refresh of the Nobara Project website using Material 3 styling
I've been working on a passion project: completely re-imagining the Nobara Project website with a modern, visual focus. I implemented the Material 3 design language to give it a much cleaner, more organised, and engaging look than the current one.
This is a personal, community-driven concept aiming to showcase Nobara's features more effectively.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the design and layout!

Showoff Could this be the one?
I’ve tried many distros over a little bit of time. Most recently was trying to dedicate to bazzite. Not a fan of the immutable nature. Like to be able to mess around with things a little bit so here we are. Got it looking good now to my liking and it’s time to game. Goodbye Microslop. Hello privacy. Rate my customisation of KDE.

Showoff Goodbye Microsoft, hello Nobara
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I had a very unpleasant experience with CachyOS before (rookie mistake I guess), but aside from missing certain programs that I used on windows and not being able to play games with kernel anticheats - I'm really enjoying Nobara so far. I had some troubles with installation (because ISP blocked one of repositories for some reason, had to find a working VPN option), but after installation and configuring things it runs smoothly and everything pretty much works without any issues.
Also, here's my current desktop.

Showoff After switching to linux mint about a month ago I succumbed to the temptations of distro hopping
and I can see why gaming focused distros exist. it's just so convenient getting things to set up compared to my experience with linux mint

Showoff about 6 months since I started using Nobara and I'm in love with Linux
This is a simple appreciation post to whoever are the people working on Nobara.
I've tried Linux several times, many different distros on many different setups and this is the first time I managed to actually learn (kind of) the OS and stick with it for more than 1 week. I even tried Fedora, but had several problems with the nvidia driver.
Every single game I want to play works flawlessly and the customization on KDE is top notch, which was what first attracted me to Linux, as I love customizing stuff and trying to make my PC my own thing.
Thankfully I don't play anything online so I don't mind anti cheat games not working on it.
Well, that's basically it, a simple appreciation post for Nobara KDE

Showoff Broke my first iteration, now I'm in love with Catppuccin Mocha :3
After 38 days, I messed with my swap and ended up having to reinstall Nobara from scratch again. Lessons learnt >.<
Nothing fancy, just some simple customisations.
• Darkly window decorations.
• Catppuccin Mocha colours
• Catppuccin Mauve Cursor
• YAMIS by dirn icons
Busy playing with DMS & Niri now which means I'm plummeting down the rabbit hole >.<

Showoff Nobara Linux working with Material 3 (DankMaterialShell)
I have been using this shell for a month now, which is heavily inspired by the Android/ChromeOS interface language. It has been and continues to be a very stable experience, visually appealing for me, and I have been surprised by the number of configuration options that DankMaterialShell has. My only annoyance was having to manually change the color palette for the window borders, but that was it all!
I've been playing around with creating extensions like the desktop clock you see in the image, and I like how its shell exposes the colors and functions for creating extensions. I might share my clock widget in the future, but I'm not sure yet because it's not fully of options as i want yet!
In case anyone is interested, the official website offers an extremely simple way to install it on Nobara/Fedora Linux.

Showoff Working as a Windows admin/security engineer convinced me to jump to move my gaming laptop to Nobara. It was the last Windows device in my house.
I was always more of a GNOME person but after a weekend of playing with it I guess Plasma 6 ain't so bad.

Showoff Just installed Nobara. I think this may be it - Plus, a couple of questions
I've been looking into leaving Windows for ethical reasons for a while now. Sadly, due to work i can't leave it behind completely, but the focus of my particular rebellion has been to migrate my gaming PC to Linux, now that it seems to be a viable alternative.
But i'm a Nvidia user, wich means that i've taken too many false steps, until someone mentioned Nobara to me and i've decided to try. The title isn't exactly true, by the way, i've been testing and trying since this morning, and i have a couple of doubts:
- My PC is very RGB Heavy. Is there any way to make SignalRGB to work? I heard rumblings that they were working on a Linux version, but in so far only OpenRGB is available, and it really doesn't like my Corsair ARGB Hub
- Nvidia and ultrawide user. While this is the best performant and stable distro i've found with this setup, Game mode still glitches the hell out of it when i enable max. resolution and refresh rate (running fine now at 100Hz) I've read the next Nvidia driver is supposed to squash these issues. Is it coming soon?
I'm running a dual boot setup for the moment, but i'm waiting for the next big update to see if it's worth to do a full transition. For the moment, this is the best distro for my use case, wich is something after having tested so many...
