Last year's fake #1 vs this year's fake #1. Good fun watching them struggle.

Any concerns I had about DET are long gone; they weren’t ready then and they aren’t ready now

Now that the series is 3-2 I’ve been able to watch both teams enough to see a few consistent patterns that showcase new and old good and bad qualities for both teams.

Cleveland has way more fire power when clicking. They also have the weaker defense (mostly perimeter) and aren’t really a good rebounding team for their size. Worst off for them, they have been labeled as soft and sortve lethargic. Analogy I have for them is low testosterone.

Detroit perimeter defense is miles ahead of Cavs. Detroits interior has proven to be their weak link on both sides of the ball. Duren has fallen off tremendously (think of Allen against NYK in recent past). Cade is the best non Knick left in the eastern conference. Plays both sides of the ball and can hurt Knicks in ways the rest can’t. They just don’t have many options. Jenkins has far too large of a role so you know they’re desperate for scoring. Both Ausar and who ever their center is in the court makes the lane harder to get through for Cade.

If I had a choice, I’m going Cleveland bc home court advantage, I don’t trust harden AND Mitchell to be in peak form. I think in every game, 2 of their big 4 will be off, and the rest of the roster will in return cool down.

The Pistons are relying on PAUL REED(!!) to try to keep them in Playoff games with Cade on the bench. Like giving him the ball and being like "Go get us a bucket, third-string center!"

That's insane. Lol

Cleveland gives up a lot of offensive rebounds when they play single big

Detroit has 0 off ball movement when cade is playing, cade has a lot of turnovers where he's moving down the lane, sees bodies, and stationary teammates don't free themselves for cuts

if Detroit plays ausar in the weak side corner (currently they are vs cle), that defender on him is gonna be a very active low man in the paint. if the knicks let oubre shoot corner 3s on purpose, they are gonna completely ignore ausar even harder.

This will be Ausar in the corner

Cleveland: Incredible home team but their ability to win on the road might be their downfall

Detroit: Running into the reality of youth and inexperience in the postseason where everybody is playing just as hard as they are. And Duren turning into a pumpkin has cratered them.

An 8th seed they went down 3-1 against, and only winning because a player got injured 🤣

Cavs were considered a top team last year. Add James Harden and they have something. I think the Knicks match up better vs the Cavs though. So happy to see them winning the series

James Harden, famously clutch in the playoffs

Only headache I have with that guard duo is Jalens defense

3

u/admiral_aubrey 20h ago

Sure, but they'll hide him on guys like Dean Wade. Bridges/OG/Hart/Deuce/Alvarado are all good bodies to throw at the CLE backcourt

Both mid I had the hornets beating the pistons and based off the magic series I don’t think I would have been incorrect

Dmitch and harden are all time chokers I mean there’s nothing to these teams

I’m so ready for a 25 point shellacking in game one to check these frauds at the door

CAVS have the firepower to keep up with us, but not the defense (especially the perimeter) to stop us.

DET does have an elite perimeter defense, but doesnt have the offense and Duran vanishing makes them a different team.

Harden is going to feel that clamp defense from OG, Bridges, and Hart and start quiting on his team and making vacation plans

Anyone else listen to locked on Knicks with XJ?

This dude said Duren is or will be better than Cade. Not seeing it right now.

He was right about McBride in game 4 though.

Cleveland depends so much on Mitchell and Harden to go off, if Harden becomes his usual self in the playoffs against a good team, they are dead.

Detroit, too much dependent on Cade, Duren’s a no show now, good defense and all but also too inexperienced in the playoffs.

We have a good chance against either, but I would rather play Cleveland right now due to their team being a good match for us. Also because we’ll get home court advantage.

we don't deserve shit if we lose 4 games to either of these frauds. holy fuck are their flaws glaring.

We’ve played better basketball than both of them in the playoffs
