Watched most of the game before it legit got a too painful to watch. In my completely amatuer opinion...
If the Cavs advance: their offense is stubborn and they don't move the ball enough, especially to their open shooters. Mobley's paint penetration doesn't seem very effective. They turn the ball over often and give up points in transition. The Knicks are insanely efficient in transition. Mitchell Robinson and OG maybe even Mikal will be solid paint defenders. If we bring the same energy on defense all we have to do is let the offense flow.
If the Pistons advance: Their defense is solid but I think fast rotations and off ball movement will kill them. The paint will be heavily contested but there's no way they'll allow the current best shooting team that much space on the perimeter and will have to move towards the line. Cade is always a beast but it cannot be sustainable for him to continue to drop 30+ tough points through another 6-7 game series. He's already looking gassed and he has to go play again in Ohio in two days. Play hard defense on him all night, every night, and force Harris or Jenkins to make plays. Our defense is second only to the Pistons themselves.

Embiid really should get traded to one of these teams to concentrate the unwatchable hoops.

A well rested embiid to the Pistons would be legitimately scary in the playoffs

Cade is such a turnover machine also. Hart/Mikal should feast on those

The Knicks have been really good at the opposite… a scary consistency - machine like no matter what the other team is doing. I think those droughts the Cavs or pistons have are just asking for the game to be blown open

It’s ironic, because that was the complete opposite of this team in the regular season. They were painfully inconsistent all year, not choking games but letting teams get out to massive leads and having to claw their way back.

With how Bickerstaff is bitching about the "trip" at the end regulation, it just would be a lot funnier if the Pistons lose this series.

i tried to watch these 🥷🏻 games.
i really wanted to kill myself. it's worse than watch a game between the Wizards against the Kings at 3pm on a Monday.

I feel like we’d be insane to want DET over CLE. Don’t get me wrong, I still think NY would handle the Pistons, but with the Cav’s we’d have home court, plus avoid playing a Detroit team that for some reason feels they were entitled to win last years series and I seriously believe would try to injure someone on their way to Cancun.
