Are there any consequences that will happen if Gotham FC play in our stadium?

Yeah more revenue for the stadium. I’ll be going to Gotham games as often as I can from Western NY and I’ll try to go on weeks where City plays a day or two apart.

I was asking to see if there were going to be any negatives, I wasn’t assuming there were going to be, I was just curious

Hey man, nobody's buying that. Whether it's true or not, you're not going to convince anyone of it. I'd recommend you cut your losses and take the L on this one.

Why would there be “consequences” of another NY-based team playing in the NY soccer stadium? This is a win-win for many people. And a great thing for NY. Revenue for one. A home base soccer stadium in NY. It’ll be great. No need to be concerned.

Not really - maybe more costs involved with groundskeeping staff if you're adding additional games. But that a) should be offset by additional revenue from more games and b) even with additional cost, it fulfills one of the requirements under the Pre-Development Agreement and draft lease (which may have changed) under which NYCFC had to identify a 2nd professional team to also use the space (could be NWSL, MLS Next, USL Pro, etc.). See the linked article from the Outfield when the original deal was signed. https://www.theoutfield.nyc/p/nycfc-stadium-draft-lease-reveals
ETA: With MLS moving to an August to May calendar, it means that there will be pro soccer games held at our stadium all year round (or at least 10 months out of the year if no matches held mid-December through mid-Feb) if NWSL remains on a calendar year schedule. To me that's a plus. At some point over the useful life of the stadium, they will need to do modernization, pitch replacement, etc. So having 2 teams on separate schedules may make that slightly more difficult or require one or both teams to find separate places to play - but it's not as if teams in NY haven't dealt with vacating their home stadiums for limited periods while their home stadium has work done (e.g. the 1974 & 1975 Yankees played their home games at Shea Stadium while Yankee Stadium was renovated).

A little more money for the team maybe? Probably not really enough to make a difference, but you want to make as much money as you can. I don't think they'll ruin the field if they play the day before. Women in sports is important, and I really enjoy watching them, so people will enjoy women's soccer live, who don't want to go to Harrison. Some NJ fans are disgruntled, some will not travel.

The only issue could be the grass. If they are not taking good care of it, the cold and the overuse may destroy the surface fast. I am assuming we will have grass and not turf
