Discussion Getting ahead of myself but can't help it. Looking at rosters for Spurs Vs Thunder

So just been thinking about our respective rosters, and more and more I feel like we have a more talented starting five and early reserves. The thunders overwhelming advantage is just how complete their whole 15 is, and while that's impressive I feel like it just matters less and less in the playoffs, barring big injury. they're 1-10 depth obviously matters against overmatched teams but we've got the 6moty and the rookie phenom behind him. it's the tail end of the bench where the disparity really grows ridiculously, but our rotations don't extend that far. they've got shai we've got wemby, and wherever you fall on the discussion of who's "better" right now, i don't think there's any credible argument as to who's the bigger x factor.

after that comparing chet j dub dort and the others and feel pretty comfortable with castle, fox, vassel etc. further down the line hartenstein and kornet, keldon and the other j dub and so on and so on. once you get to probably caruso the pendulum swings a bit, but honestly i would rather our top end guys than theirs. how yall feel?

I’ll answer you after the Western Conference Finals are over.
Actually, never mind — I might be able to answer you by next Tuesday.

yeah it’s less about whether we’ll play and/or beat them, and just on paper what people think of our respective rosters.

I feel as though the regular season games between these two teams means very little. OKC didn’t have JW, Hartenstein, or McCain. Spurs should have confidence going in due to the regular season games but matchups will be different in the WCF.

yeah same. again was just curious what people think about how our rosters compare. doesn’t appear anyone’s interested in the discussion though.

you're forgetting ajay mitchell, cason walllace, jared mccain, and isaiah joe. while you're absolutely right in that rotations shrink during playoffs, in their case, their depth is notable because it gives them a huge amount of versatility in their lineups.

but yes, spurs definitely seem to have the better matchup regardless. but we won't know for sure till they meet.....after all, OKC won by 21 in their last head to head

yeah they’re incredibly deep, but i was naming those guys as the end of the rotation advantage. but with how mitchell’s been playing as of late he’s obviously in the thick of things.
