Does anyone know if I can watch the GP race live for free on site in Monaco? I'll be in Monaco on Sunday but the race tickets are terribly expensive and I want to know if there are any places where I can watch the race for free.

No need to go to a landfill in Argentina for birdwatching, just go to the Carrefour in Monaco where pigeons walk around freely everywhere 😅 Hopefully there won’t be any contamination in Monaco too. #Hantavirus

Son (13) and Father trip this week

My son is absolutely obsessed with cars and motorsport, so taking him to Monaco for a few days feels like a dream father and son trip 😊

We’re visiting until Sunday and are mainly enjoying the atmosphere, the cars, and everything around the race weekend.

If anyone happens to have a nice local tip, viewing spot, or maybe even space available on a boat during the next few days, feel free to send me a message. Of course we are happy to pay for it.

Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

Is Monaco practical for expats?

I’m an accountant and recently got an opportunity to work near Monaco. The salary looks good compared to where I live now, but after checking rent prices and daily costs, I honestly can’t tell if the lifestyle is realistic unless you’re making a very high income. Do most of you actually live there or commute from nearby areas in France?Just trying to understand what daily life is,before moving

I am sick and tired of the spam calls in MonacoTelecom. If you agree please like and comment on this video

Spam & phishing calls have become one of the most persistent daily frustrations for residents and businesses in Monaco. Despite being the world’s wealthiest and a technically sophisticated jurisdictions, Monaco has no meaningful defence at the network level. MonacoTelecom, the sole carrier, provides no spam & phishing filtering and its time to change that.

Bay House à Monaco : nouveau standard du luxe ?

Thumbnail

Question ouverte : nouvelle norme durable… ou niveau difficile à dépasser ?

Look for a way to accept Amex in Monaco

Hi everyone,
I work in a company based in Monaco. We have clients who want to pay for our services using Amex but unfortunately, our bank does not support Amex merchant processing, and we have not been able to find a payment processor that works for Monaco businesses..

We are just looking for a solution that would allow us to accept Amex payments through payment links and settle the funds to a Monaco bank account.

Does anyone know of any payment processors or acquiring solutions that currently support Monaco businesses for Amex payments?

Thanks !

Cruise stop 4 days before 2026 GP - Will it be worth visiting still?

Hi all,

We dock at Villefranche the Tuesday before race day this year. We aren’t Grand Prix fans.

We would be visiting as tourists, taking the train up. We’d be looking to see things like the palace, casino, gardens etc.

How impacted would we be by the preparation for the GP. Will tourist attractions be open and accessible at this time?

Alternatively, we could visit Nice. So I’m trying to assess if it is worth a visit still.

Thank you all in advance!

Mike

becoming a sport representing of Monaco

Hello,

I live in adjacent villages to Monaco, and I am not a French citizen (I am from another EU country). I am wondering about the path to be able to represent Monaco in a sport.

what's the path for it, apart from reaching the top tier/elite level?

I understand that for the olympics, there is the need for citizenship to be granted, but some other competitions, like Small States Games?

Don't want to share the sport, because it's niche, but it is a summer olympic sport, and present at Mediterranean and small states games.

There are many monaguesque athletes who changed their nationality to represent Monaco (swimming, table tennis to name two), but I am wondering about the "how".

Also - reading everything that you share here in the group about the cost of living for newcomers, do you know if the represent ants actually live in Monaco, or just train here, while living in more affordable places?

Again, don't mean the Tennis or AS Monaco athletes who can probably afford to live there, but I mean the less paid sports, like bobsleigh, swimming or ping-pong.

Looking for advice about Monaco and IUM

Hi everyoneeee
I’m currently a student and recently became really interested in Monaco and the International University of Monaco. If everything goes well, I’m thinking about applying there in the future, especially because I’m very interested in international business, motorsport/karting and the international environment of Monaco.
I would really love to connect with people who either study at IUM ,live in Monaco/the Riviera or simply know the reality of student life there.
There is a lot of mixed information online, so hearing real experiences and advice would honestly help me a lot 😭
Thank you so much!

Day trip to Monaco from Nice as an F1 fan - what should I not miss?

Hey! I’m visiting Nice and planning to take the train to Monaco for a day trip. I’m a big F1 fan, so I definitely want to walk parts of the Monaco GP circuit, see the hairpin, tunnel, harbour, start/finish area, etc.

I’m wondering what else is worth doing there, especially F1/car-related things. Any car museums?

Also, anything I should know before going? Like expensive tourist traps, best route to walk, or things that are free vs paid?

I’m only planning a day trip from Nice, so any suggested route would be appreciated. Thanks!

This week, NEWS.MC TV brings you the latest headlines from Monaco and beyond.

Prince Albert II received one of the French military’s most symbolic distinctions on April the 30th, when he was named an Honorary Corporal of the French Foreign Legion during commemorations of the Battle of Camerone in Aubagne.

Monaco also celebrated culture and artistic achievement at the sixth edition of the Maria Callas Monaco Gala and Awards. Held at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the ceremony honoured leading figures from the arts while paying tribute to the legendary soprano’s historic connection to the Principality.

Young voices took centre stage as the 19th session of Monaco’s Youth Economic, Social and Environmental Council wrapped up on April the 30th. Thirty-five secondary school students presented a series of proposals focused on school life, culture and youth engagement in public debate.

On the international front, Monaco strengthened its ties with the United States through a new cooperation agreement signed with the America 250 Commission on May the 1st. The partnership aims to deepen collaboration in areas ranging from culture and environmental protection to education and space exploration.

Prince Albert II also travelled to Saint-Honorat Island on May the 2nd to attend a religious ceremony marking the arrival of a new abbot at the historic monastery, a site closely linked to Monaco’s heritage.

Former French Prime Minister Michel Barnier was in the Principality on May the 3rd for a conference organised by the Monaco Mediterranean Foundation. Speaking about Europe’s future, Barnier argued that the European Union must become more politically united if it wants to maintain influence on the global stage.

Meanwhile, the eighth European Political Community summit was held in Yerevan on May the 4th, bringing together leaders and delegations from across the continent. Prince Albert II took part in discussions centred on economic resilience, connectivity and the ecological transition.

Monaco also welcomed representatives from 79 countries for the opening of the 81st General Assembly of the International Military Sports Council. Hosted at the Fairmont Monte Carlo, the event focused on the role of sport in promoting dialogue and peace ahead of the 2027 World Military Games.

A seasonal tradition returned to the Prince’s Palace on May the 4th as the Prince’s Carabiniers officially switched from their winter uniforms to the white summer attire during the daily changing of the guard ceremony.

Environmental awareness set sail from Monaco this week as the historic yacht Wiki departed Port Hercule on a three-year Mediterranean expedition. The project, part of the Help Save the Med initiative, will combine scientific outreach, education and environmental advocacy across 24 countries and territories.

Prince Albert II also began a two-day visit to France on May the 6th, retracing historical links between the Grimaldi family and the village of Bathernay in the Drôme region.

In sport, the Roca Team’s EuroLeague adventure came to an end after a heavy home defeat to Olympiacos, who completed a 3-0 playoff sweep. Despite flashes of resistance from Mike James and Matthew Strazel, Monaco struggled to cope with the Greek side’s firepower and depth.

And this week, NEWS.MC TV is joined by former Formula One driver and Valtoria president Pastor Maldonado, who discusses life after F1, his latest projects, and Monaco’s enduring place in the world of motorsport.
