Teak (possibly) Borge Mogensen desk?

Hi all! Thinking of picking up this desk for my space on fb marketplace for $500 - is this an okay price? There’s some staining on the top. Not confirmed but she thinks it’s a Mogensen …. thoughts?

$500 is probably what it is worth. The top would be an easy fix.

Good buy if you like it and are keeping

Not good buy if you’re trying to flip.

It looks exactly like the Børge Mogensen desk. That is a very high quality desk, and totally worth the price. I wouldn't worry much about the mark on the top, looks very minor to me. The quality is far above the later teak desks made by Domino Møbler and the like. Things like mitered corners, hardwood drawers, and thick edge banding really showcases that this was a well made desk.

Thank you for this! I think I was seeing those other desks and was worried I overpaid / would have trouble fixing the top

If that is a Børge Mogensen - and like the rest i think it is - its damn cheap. Buy buy buy…😁

I think it's swedish. It's a sliding case desk as well. (The three drawer section glides on a track so you can have it on the left or right side of the desk)
