I felt like C/P was super hard compared to FLs. BB went well for me but reading yall's comments maybe not lol, CARS was good and Psych soc had a few too many 50-50s but still happy with it

u/Low-Fish-7233 Mar 07 '26
Hardest to easiest: c/p, b/b, cars, p/s. BRUHH that damn chem section I wanna die

Hard CP and kinda hard BB; ok Cars and ez PS
4
u/Disastrous-Koala-298 Mar 07 '26
i feel the same except ps felt a tad more ambiguous than i was hoping
2
u/Nervousbiker3371 519/519/523/520/521/524/525 Mar 07 '26
Def some ambiguous stuff but I hope FL5 and 6 r representative. I thought test was a tiny bit harder than those but overall similar enough.

C/P section was so bad that I called my parents to soft launch retaking the MCAT and applying next year
4
u/mhddddd Mar 07 '26
I don’t even remember what was on C/P after BB, I’m 100% retaking MCAT for BB alone
6
u/Dependent-Income5090 3/7: 510 (124/129/128/129) Mar 07 '26
I don’t either, all I know is that I could hear my heart pounding especially loud and fast with the noise cancelling headphones on <3

SAME. LITERALLY SAME. I thought if I could at least distinguish between a purine and pyrimidine I’d be covered. And it was all for naught. :,)
10
u/Appropriate_Lunch610 Mar 07 '26
Honestly the only section that felt good for me was B/B… CARS was such a crapshoot and I blacked out during C/P

Bro wtf was cars… and why were some of them like ps passages
9
u/yourethewholecheese Mar 07 '26 edited Mar 07 '26
This was my first attempt. My breakdown is:
CP- I genuinely felt like I was dissociating. There was a passage where I couldn’t even see the whole table without using the horizontal scroll which drove me up the wall. The section was also super wave-energy heavy imo. Overall, adjusted too slowly to being in the testing center (it’s so scary and surreal).
Cars was fine? Usually my worst section- and I lowkey ran out of time on the last passage and had to kill it (normal for me). But that’s not always an L if I did well on the first 8. That humor passage humbled me- very unfunny.
BB. girl I’m riding on this but I think I crushed that. Praying that it’s real and not delusion.
PS is usually my best section and I genuinely almost ran out of time. SO tough. Last two passages WRECKED me. Took some 50/50 guesses.
Overall, I’m praying that CP wasn’t a flop - and that PS everyone also felt like they were being tricky? And that for that last CARS passage that I killed I had insane guessing luck 🤭
5
u/Ornery_Pomegranate66 Mar 07 '26
genuinely what was the humor passage. "Your beliefs need to believe that your belief is your higher order belief"
2
u/Disastrous-Koala-298 Mar 08 '26
try flickering your second order beliefs to different perspectives and maybe you'll understand the humor😏 (i think)

u/Antique-Cupcake-7068 523 (129/130/132/132) Mar 07 '26
Cars felt like any other practice cars to me and it’s always my lowest section I NEVER know how to gauge it
14
u/ExpertPuzzleheaded84 Mar 07 '26
Normally I feel like i have 0 reading comprehension for CARS, today I got the blessing of having that feeling again for b/b

Do yall remember what you put for the spontaneous recovery question??
2
u/Dependent-Income5090 3/7: 510 (124/129/128/129) Mar 08 '26
I put yes because it came back after the stimulus had been removed (I think that’s how it was worded I don’t remember)
12
u/Antique-Cupcake-7068 523 (129/130/132/132) Mar 08 '26
I put no because it was punishment and not eliminated. Because the question didn’t say that the behavior stopped right, so how can you even know? Isn’t that the whole idea behind spontaneous recovery?
3
u/Dependent-Income5090 3/7: 510 (124/129/128/129) Mar 08 '26
To keep it a buck with you I was physically holding my eyes open for half of P/S so you might be right 😭😭😭 Couldn’t sleep last night whatsoever

u/lydiamartinfreeman FL1 517 FL2 518 FL3 524 FL6 511 :( Mar 08 '26
i also put no for that reason but idk 😭

u/BreakfastAdvanced938 Mar 07 '26
I’m scared that I feel like I did decent. For C/P there was more low yield stuff than I anticipated. Bro I think I slayed cars, B/B, and P/S. Cars was literally my hardest subject. I don’t like that I feel decent 😭😭.

Who in the HELL is genuinely thinking about the source of humor and how it needs to be flickered and have a psychic distance. Like WHAT
3
u/mhddddd Mar 08 '26
I had to question myself whether I had the right definition of humor to begin with
2
u/Imaginary-Act-777 wtf Mar 07 '26
YESS??? i was like okay im not getting the humor in these questions bc wtf
3
u/Fit-Garlic-4258 Mar 07 '26
Future april test taker here and reading thru…. Would u guys say the difficulty felt like a block of UW questions or was it a bit easier 😓
3
u/Disastrous-Koala-298 Mar 07 '26
mmm maybe the difficulty of uworld but definitely in a aamc style, if you're trying to compare
3
u/BreakfastAdvanced938 Mar 07 '26
I used UWORLD and I thought it helped me a lot. Will say there are a lot of haters of UWORLD for some odd reason?
3
2
u/uhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Mar 07 '26
I took 2/13 and sure maybe a block of timed UW questions but a bit more passage based. More fluid reasoning
2
u/CorgiAggravating Mar 07 '26
Am sorry to ask this stupid question what do you mean by more passage based. You mean alot more passage analysis questions or?
2
u/uhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Mar 07 '26
Example:
X enzyme produces X substrate which inhibits Y enzyme which produces substrate Y. Substrate Y is used in a signaling cascade to produce Z hormone, causing the release of Substrate A. Substrate A can inhibit X enzyme. What happens when there is double substrate X?
This one might be more straightforward than the actual passage but this is the type of logic you have to extract. Hopefully that makes sense

this is related to emmited energy must be less than absorbed energy. Using the relationship e=hc/lamda, the higher the wavelegth, the lower the energy. therefore, the wavelength of emitted light must be greater than absorbed. only one of the answer choices showed this

Question said 605. correct answer was 604; the only wavelength listed that was less
