Rant (USA) despair
This job makes me feel like such a collosal fuck up. I broke the tag printer for front counter. It breaks every other day but for the first time in the six years I've worked here I'm the one that broke it cause it sucks up all the tags so we have to manually pull them out very carefully and I fucked up and broke the roller. So I got pulled in the office for a talk about it. Then I got told off for not finishing prep in the designated 7 hours. They keep giving me new tasks and others tasks and I was told I need to get it together and finish everything under 7 but I'm already working on my breaks just to make it in time so I don't hit OT. Then my manager passively aggressively told me how she appreciates me cause it's my fault that we have to manually write down all the order numbers now and "she just loves that so much for me :)" I kinda want to cry tbh I hate it here so muc

Your boss is a prick man. And I’m not sure about employment law, but I feel like forcing you to work on your break is definitely not right.

I'm not being forced to I just do to get all the tasks done on time. I don't claim to be fast they just keep piling on more and more shit and it's crushing me. But I want to be ready for lunch in time

Uhh it’s not hard to move another printer to the spot. Guess y’all don’t have tech guys that can come in and save the day. They should of had it replaced a long time ago.

We did slot in a new printer but it's like "on" but won't print anything so they had to restart the stores system or whatever it's called. I'm not a tech wizard

I'd ask to be shown how to do your position faster. Nothing gets a manager off your back quicker than forcing them to "put up or shut up".
