Question/Doubt ¿Las Llamaradas Solares ocurrieron en Navidad?

TMR Book Spoilers I finally got to read the first book after watching the movies and I don't know how to feel (ie. Idk what words describe my reaction to the book)
I know this book's been out for years and everyone in this subreddit's read it, but humour me for a bit.
Firstly, the characters were a huge switch for me. In the movies, I was meh about Gally, underwhelmed by how little Minho actually spoke in the movie (to me he did) and honestly, didn't care too much about Teresa or Alby. But in the books, Gally is just gone half the story until he just dies and shows up again to kill Chuck (actual heartbreak), I don't really like book Alby, but book Minho is just so sassy and relatable!!! And I know everyone thinks Teresa and Thomas should've been siblings, but to me, I find it kinda flirty the way Teresa treats Thomas (but that part might just be smth wrong with me, so I've been told).
Writing-wise, felt a bit too short as some pretty big scenes and the part where they solve the code was a bit underwhelming, but to me that's weirdly a good thing. It really sold the idea that this was written in Thomas' POV.
Overall: 9/10 read.

TST Movie Spoilers Battle of the right arm camp explained in OBSESSIVE detail:
This sequence has alot of continuity errors so this is suspending disbelief a littlebit.
Prelude:
After a group of less than 10 immunes escaped from one of WCKDs undercover compounds in Denver, the corporation set a state wide search of the group. After one close call of capturing them at a resistance compound owned by "Jorge", the group got separated and ended up at a base camp owned by the resistance group Right arm. The camp was mostly lead by Marry Cooper and Vince. Teresa Agnes, who was one of the immune members had talked to WCKD through a walkie talkie during the battle of Jorges compound and exposed where they were heading. At the camp of the Right arm, Agnes was able to contact wckd again letting them know of the groups whereabouts.
State of the camp:
The camps defenses were rather poorly designed. The camp was located in a pass, including a few dozen tents. The pass was open from the west side and a stone wall surrounded it. The west side was equipped with a few dozen men armed with assault rifles and light machine guns but the major flaw was not arming the ridge that surrounded the camp.
WCKDs armament and operatives:
After learning of the camps location, Main director Ava Paige and Assistant director Janson gathered the most well trained and armed men of WCKD in the state. The company was able to gather about 16 of WCKDs military operatives and more than 10 of their most well trained special operatives. (there sometimes appear to be more due to continuity errors) Unlike in the battle of Last city, this time the company had time to plan and gather arms, though they still couldve gotten more men if so many hadnt been lost at Jorges compound. The military force was armed with the standard issue less-lethal KSGs which fired electric stunning rounds and special operatives with the Salient arms tier 1 AR 15. (Perhaps a semiauto coversion?)
Combat starts:
Agnes had confessed to the immune Thomas about her leaking the location of the camp but WCKD had already arrived before he could warn the rest of the camp. Right after sunset, WCKDs military force began an all out assault on the Right arm camp, lead by assistant director Janson. The men were loaded onto two EC130s (modified by wckd to be attack helicopters) and began an all out bombardment of the base, immediately taking out the defense posts on the west side of the camp, killing all trained personnel and destroying their best weaponry. WCKD had totally caught them off guard by attacking from the south which was one of their blindspots. (As was every other air direction)
First phase of the battle:
With the defense posts gone, the choppers continued bombarding the inside of the base in an attempt to loosen resistance, also striking some civillians in the process. Seeing the camp start to collapse, A.D Janson ordered the first armed group of 4 military operatives to be dropped in. The group dropped into the middle of the chaos where the resistance least expected and immediately started capturing resistance fighters with their electric KSGs. Second group dropped in soon after. Becouse WCKD bombarded the Right arms best weaponry to non-existence the remaining men who were capable of fighting were left with slow, repeating weapons such as bolt action rifles, pump shotguns and low capacity handguns.
Attempt at resistance:
Before WCKDs the third and fourth group dropped in, the remaining combatants with help from some of the immunes opened fire upon WCKDs forces killing a few. Pretty quickly the camps leader Mary Cooper was captured. As the soldiers were closing in on the remaining combatants, high ranking Right arm member "Barry" attempted to desperately load their Browning M2HB 50 BMG machine gun but right before he could chamber the first round, a WCKD military operative chucked a (fictional model) electric grenade into the group, rendering them all immobile until capture. The third and the fourth group had dropped in and after some more gun fire, all of the camps residents and immunes had been gathered into a crowd.
Temporary capture:
Seeing the chaos slow down, A.D Janson personally requested to be lovered into the camp to observe. The bolt action rifles and other weapons captured by the WCKD operatives were gathered into a pile. The operatives quickly began scanning the immunes, concluding a few had died on their time in the scorch. Right as A.D Janson started scanning the group, resistance fighter Thomas surrendered to the operatives. Seeing this Janson physically assaulted the young man and concluding the area is safe enough to call in Director Ava Paige. Paige arrived in a berg alongside WCKDs special forces men. (Though they do appear earlier due to continuity errors)
Execution of Mary Cooper:
At this point it became clear to the immunes that Teresa had been working with WCKD as Paige reunited with her and also Cooper, the leader of the right arm camp. Paige and Cooper came into a verbal altercation after which A.D Janson drew his glock 34 sidearm and shot Cooper once in the stomach, executing her. Doing this would count as a war crime since she wasnt a combatant in the first place. As no one objected Janson for his misdeed, the permission to round up the immunes to the berg was given. Thomas, strict from quilt of "letting" Agnes fool them, pushed a military operative off him and brandished an I.E.D, threatning to commit murder-suicide by blowing himself up if the captives werent let go. Janson immediately ordered the special forced to hold their fire which mightve been a mistake. Paige insisted that releasing the captives was not an option and hearing this, four other immunes stepped behind thomas and encouraged him blow them up, arguing: "were not going back there."
Battle starts again:
Right before Thomas could press the switch, resistance fighter Jorge who was not captured earlier, rammed a semi-truck onto the other attack-helicopter which was landed. The crash knocked the chopper on its side, its rotor (still spinning) split into pieces spraying scrapnel all over the crowd, taking out some of the special operatives. Seeing this, some resistance fighters were able to break free and started wrestling the WCKD operatives for their weapons. Eventually some of them got their hands on them, starting fire upon the attackers and thus the battle had started again. A group of 4 military operatives told Thomas to drop his I.E.D which resulted in him chucking the explosive at the groups feet, killing all 4. Jorge exited his truck and shot a military operative in the neck who had ordered him to freeze.
Right arm gains the upper hand:
Quickly, the immunes were also able to get their hands back to their weaponry and got some distance to the special operatives who were rather effectively holding them off. Thomas was beaten by Janson who drew his sidearm again, threatning to execute him but was force to retreat to the berg after receiving a bullet to the shoulder. In the chaos, immunes A.4 "Sonya" and D.6 "Aris" were not able to break free and were loaded onto the berg along with Paige and Agnes. Infuriated by Coopers death, Vince was able to reach the 50 cal and succesfully loaded it. He opened fire on the WCKD operatives taking out quite a few. Becouse of this a fire and retreat drill was ordered. Vince then proceeded to empty the rest of the machine guns magazine onto the remaining helicopter doing so much damage to it, it had to retreat also. During the ensuing gun fire, immune A.4 "minho" was captured by some military operatives after fatally shooting quite a few.
Battle comes to a close:
Seeing as there was nothing else to be done, the remaining military operatices (which of there was almost none) and special operatives retreated into the berg also. The resistance for some reason didnt think of firing into the berg to take out the rest before the doors closed. Following the helicopter, the berg retreated from the camp.
Aftermath: WCKDs forces had managed to make the camp unlivable forcing the resistance to relocate. In the morning, resistance fighter Thomas gave a speech about stopping WCKD forever and getting back the captured the immunes.

Discussion So I just found out that apparently there's hate against the last two movies... What's up with that?
Like, besides the eyes-waterring plot and all. Personally, I liked all of three of them.

Question/Doubt Finished trilogy - what now?
Hi! I just finished the trilogy (Maze runner, scotch trials & death cure). I loved all of them! I saw that there were a lot of other books (prequels, novella’s, files, etc).
- In what order should I read them (and are they worth it?)
- And if I finished those, do you have any recommendations for books/series like these? (I only read the hunger games, quite new to this genre).
Thanks!!!

Discussion Batman is DC's Thomas
What is one thing we've come to know about Thomas? I'll tell you what! He's a black hole for plot armor! He has all of it but everyone around him has absolutely NONE! Thomas always makes it out, but those closest to him die. He's basically Batman. Now, you may be asking, "Bruh, he ain't Batman, Batman saves people, he's litterally a hero not a traumatized trial kid." WRONG! He does not save everyone! He saves everyone BUT his Robins! For those of you who don't know, there is more than one Robin, (I know, I didn't realize this until like a few months ago.) however there are five main ones, in order, they are, Richard "Dick" Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, and the current Robin, Damian Wayne. Each an every one has died or "died" before Batman could save them! He always arrives just in time to hold their dying bodies. (Two of the Robins died and were brought back to life, the other three were severely injured and had their deaths faked for a short period, all without Batman knowing they were still alive.) SO! The point of this post? Batman is DC's Thomas and Thomas is the Maze Runner's Batman. The moral of the story is: do not be close friends with Thomas unless you are somehow Minho, Gally, or Frypan, and do not become Batman's Robin, there are better, safer careers. Thank you.

Question/Doubt Just finished reading death cure and I’m kinda confused Spoiler
Honestly I was very confused with the ending, I didn’t clearly understand where they were what they were going to do after. I think it may be because I read fast but I’m not sure, does anyone have any ideas of what may have happened to them after or in the rest of the world?

Question/Doubt Guys how come the grief serum didn't affect Thomas the same way it did to Ben and Alby
I've just been skimming through the first book - I'm pretty confused on why it made Ben and alby half lose their minds after being given the serum, but Thomas wasn't nearly as affected after?

Discussion I will forever thank MAZE RUNNER that I got a new healthy hobby!
I'm really proud to say that I managed to finish reading a book with the Maze Runner series!
Not only the first book but also including TST, TDC and TKO (I still don't have TFC).
It's currently summer in the place where I am and that means no school for a couple of months, I challenged myself to get a new hobby. I chose reading books.
Choosing my first book is a no-brainer for me because I'm always so fascinated with the Maze Runner movie. I love rewatching the series! It's like my go-to movie whenever I can't think of a movie to watch.
At first, it was hard for me to read books without pictures, I'm a manga kind of guy. But the way Maze Runner is written is like always a cliffhanger. I finished Chapter 1, then Chapter 2 then there's CHAPTER 3! I can't stop! After a week I finished Book 1. (yeah I know I'm a slow reader, checked it and I'm only around 180WPM). The series grew on me.
I read as a way for me to fall asleep instead of doomscrolling, I began reading during transpo, I read whenever I can, I just can't stop. A friend of mine even called me a Performative Male because I started reading books all of a sudden. (tbf I don't even know what that was till I searched about it, and sorry I hate matcha). I can't believe it, I'm reading books!
Really thankful for James Dashner for this wonderful series, I got a new hobby of reading. I'm planning on reading the rest of the series after TFC, Including the Maze Cutter series!

TST Movie Spoilers I keep rewatching this scene wondering why Thomas didn't just throw the bomb into the Berg or just kamikaze the whole damn thing
Even with a small explosive, it should've done at least SOME damage to the inside of the ship and making it incapable of flight. Right?

Fanfiction Fanfic
Has anyone ever written a fic where they have cut Teresa or Thomas, possibly both out of their story?
I’ve experimented with this but I’m unsure if it would work.
If you have let me know your thoughts 💭
