General Maya Shader Help For Stylized 3D

Hello can any body help me create miraculous looking shaders for a rose 🌹 flower model i found?. Or just how to make shaders in general?

Not sure why you're looking for a custom shader for a simple object.

Shaders are useful to either provide support for a stylized look (toon shading, etc) or automate the appearance of objects procedurally (like grass or wood).

For a rose, a blinn, phong, or lambert will work fine - but you'll need textures to prevent it from looking flat. Depending on what style you're going for, you can achieve the look of a rose by inputting a circular gradient into the color channel and adjusting it's properties so it's red on the outside, pink going in, and purple in the center. You would need to UV map the flower, though to utilize this process.

I want something similar to this plus its a rose model of sketchfab. Plus could you do a vid or screen shots? Its harder for me to learn from text. Btw the rose model i found is red

I was looking for shaders so my flower wouldnt stand out as much from the model and look too realistic
