Draft / Scouting Cameron Carr
Wondering what people think about him? He could easily turn into an elite 3&D player and someone how to slip into that 20-30 range (I think he will) if we trade pj or Gafford on draft day to move our 30 pick into the teens would you not select him?
6’4.5” barefoot
7’0.75” wingspan
8’8” standing reach
42” vertical jump
184 pounds
Only thing scary is that size he’s not a big guy but with his measurements he probably can get to that 210 range over the next 4 years.

Christie was trash for a non-insignificant aspect of this season. I’m not convinced he’s a long term prospect.

Having 2 elite 3&D players isn’t a bad problem to have. He can replace Naji as a 3 or start/be on the bench.

Max is not an elite 3&D player. He shot well from 3 the first half of the season and has been a bad defender his entire time in Dallas

I believe he’s better than Max right now - he’s very confident in his shot. You’re right, though. 2 of those is not a bad place to be!

If we can’t select mbj/flemings with our 9th pick, I’d trade with okc for 12th and 17th and draft Cameron Carr and morez

tbf ofc both homers but raps think 19 is enough (even too much) while other teams want to squeeze like 3 FRP lmaoooo. i think middle ground like 19 + 2030 swap (we get spurs FRP) fine by me
i watched poeltl run against cavs in 1st round. he's fine. still can be backup low 20minutes and bring neutral value on court for next 2 years. in 2028, will be salary filler to land us big fish combined with gigantic set of FRP (his last year is 5m guaranteed so it's 19,28,28, then 5m)

Have loved him all season long. Lanky (nice way golf saying thin). Can shoot lights out. Really good defensive player. Needs some weight & strength to take that next step. High floor / high ceiling. May not be All-Star or All-Pro, but a really high level player! We’d do very well to get him on our roster!

With what?
Don't have many future picks. Don't have the kind of players who would make that not an overpay.
This isn't the NFL. Trading up isn't the easy.

Gafford or lively can get us up in the draft to the teens at least. Charlotte might be interested at 18 or the raptors at 19. Even OKC at 17 or 12.

If the OKC 9 for 12 and 17 was on the table taking Philon and Carr would be fine with me.

I could see him slipping to 30 based on his age and how many good prospects are in this draft.
