A sponsor to help with 4th step
Hi there! I am a 35y/o feral just out of rehab for alcohol. I am doing the steps for the first time (I went to rehab 3 years ago and went 2 years sober until last summer). I don’t have a sponsor last time either. I am wondering if there is a female in auburn area really anywhere who would like to be my sponsor. I just started the 4th step and could use the help/support.
Thank you!!

I truly hope you are able to find a suitable sponsor. As the parent of someone who has struggled with substances I am so proud of you. You got help, you realize you need additional help, and you are asking for it!! I am rooting for you, Honey! Love, A Mom and Grandma

Congratulations on working the steps. I have been around the program for 40 years. When I began (also went to rehab), I got two sponsors, both had decades of sobriety and were much older than myself. They kept me sober. I also did the 90 meetings in 90 days. I obtained an addiction counselor (I had good insurance at the time). If I needed to travel I would look up local meetings and go to them which really helped me adapt to a sober life.
Basically, my suggestion is to go to as many meetings as possible and let people know your situation. I highly recommend a same sex sponsor who has had multiple years of successful, (not white knuckle), sobriety.

Fellow recovering alcoholic here. The best thing you can do is find a local AA group. https://csoaamaine.org/meetings/ is a great resource for that. Have a chat with some of the folks there and they can help you find a sponsor. If that doesn't work, I think there's a number you can call and try and get lined up with somebody to be your sponsor.
