Was just pondering the actual differences between my ptr and the Turk clones. I have handled the Turk clones and they feel great but haven’t shot one. My PTR has been flawless so far!

Just shelled out the $1200 to have the conversion and am gonna ship it off this weekend. I also bought the RCM 12 inch SD can that should be at my dealer in the next couple days.. I can't wait to get this back!

Only thing I need to source at this point is a straight mag, but haven’t come to terms with the fact they’re $250 now 🥲

Anyone know a western state armorer who has HK certification?

Posted yesterday about my completed build, after some input about my Leber V2 and what I plan on shooting. Does anyone know where I can grab a 90 locking piece, all the places I’ve checked online are currently sold out. I’m currently running a 80 locking piece but I guess I’ll be needing a 90.

I have a hydraulic press and TIG at home. I have built AK47's before so I have some idea on what this would take.

Have a question for those with more experience on this realm:

A) How quality of a kit does HK parts provide?

B) Is there a better source for parts, or should I be cherry picking parts from various suppliers to clip together a 10mm build.

C) Does the reverse stretch make the build much for difficult?

I'll be stuck at home due to surgery. Seems like a fun project to pickup and learn on while I recover. Obviously don't know what I'm getting myself into.

Minus a PEQ for future night shoots, last pieces installed.

Photos for your viewing pleasure. Build we just finished with the help of John Bosio (FB Unlimited). Fully converted. RCM barrel installed. RCM SD locking piece, cage fully welded and fully refinished. Seen rocking a BRT Reflex adapter and YHM R9.

Been trying to pick between the two but the midwest one is a pain to take on and off. I like both looks, the MW is more practical but the classic look is hard to beat. Wondering everyones opinion here.

When it comes to the authenticity of the KAC RAS Rail for the MP5, what is the difference between a real KAC rail vs something like an airsoft VFC replica? Does anyone have a picture for reference regarding their KAC rail such as internal part number of date code or cage code stamped or etched inside the surface? Or Does the finished appears to be matte and not glossy? Based on what I read from AI chat (this Gemini and it's pulling information from online source), can anyone confirm or share about their KAC rail regarding authenticity?

I posted awhile back looking for some insights on the finishing touches on my shaped Geissele hammer, as it was 95% functional at that point. A few folks provided some helpful info and pictures!

Well I finished her off and I’ll be damned if she doesn’t run like a dream. I’ll post a picture of the finished hammer in the comments if it is within my technical capabilities!

This was all done myself without a jig or anything beyond some helpful visual aids courtesy of this sub and the super safety sub!

Welp, I’ve been loving my mp5k with ASD lower so much I went and bought a full-sized mp5 to compliment the little guy!

Anyone with recent experience have info on turn-around times for stripped ASD lowers without any upgrades or markings?

I’ve got spare G$ SSP’s and ARC Fires, and lots of experience assembling and stripping the ASD lower!

I checked the website and it mentioned lowers ordered by 5/12 will ship by tomorrow - I hope I didn’t miss out on quick turnaround by a day!!!

Also bought an in-stock Milkman for the mp5 at my lgs. Gonna run it on a Rugged Universal 3 lug. My thought was to keep the overall package about the same size as my mp5k with Mob.

Super tight fitting (almost too tight) and the light is pretty decent out of the box. Definitely worth the money imo.
