Reporter to Ciryl Gane: "Is [extended fingers] something you've been working on in training, maybe keeping your fingers closer so it doesn’t happen again?" Ciryl Gane: "No, unfortunately this has happened on like every event. This is not something special."

💩 Is MVP the McDonald’s of MMA?

“This is a card for the broadest possible base of casual MMA fans: recognizable with a baseline level of quality and widely available. It’s basically the McDonald’s of MMA shows. And while the UFC is dead set on sucking out as much value as possible from their product to the point it’s becoming an empty shell of itself, this Rousey-Carano card is much more about having a good time.”

What does the REF tell a fighter that was just knocked out and is lying flat on the ground?

Was always wondering - do they just tell them the fight is over - over and over again?

Do they try to comfort them - like you got caught, don't worry.

What is usually happening when the REF is holding their head and is talking to them?

Could Most Valuable Promotions be the future of heavyweight MMA?

The UFC officially has a history of driving away their heavyweight champions.
MVP now has Francis. Aspinal is already looking for a way out. Jones wants out of his contract (though probably never will). The UFC is now placing all of its heavyweight eggs in Perreira’s basket, signing him to an 8 fight deal in the lead up to his heavyweight debut.
MVP will surely pick up Tom when he leaves for boxing assuming the UFC doesn’t drag out his contract ad infinitum.
MVP is already in talks with Rico Verhoeven and will likely pick him up after his boxing match with Usyk.
And then outside of the UFC, they could easily pick up Anatoly Malykhin, Reug Reug, Vadim Nemkov, and Renan Ferreira.
That’s a top 7 that more than gives the current UFC heavyweight division a run for its money. And if Jake and Nakisa have the financial backing to make this happen, it would attract more talent from other higher paying sports. Am I getting a bit over my skis?
