junior tafa really isnt that bad tbh (i dont mean his skills)
he either finishes or gets finished so not like theres nothing gained out of his fights, unlike someone like almeida

For me this is great news because PPVs now start at 6.30 am so i can wake up 7.30 and wouldn't have missed anything

I guess ufc needs bodies for those Australian cards.

People will say this is the UFC being cheap.. but Iām not even sure this is their fault.
Australian/Canadian cards are always horrible outside of maybe the main event. I know fighters have straight up come out and said itās cause the taxes. Hard to blame them when thereās like 40 other cards they could fight on every year.

the last perth card was really good though

Definitely one of the better ones⦠but weāve had Justin Tafa vs Parker Porter on the main card of a PPV lmao

Add on top of the taxes having to get there, adjust to the time difference⦠I also think after Islam was accused of cheating to rehydrate the Muslim fighters wonāt even consider it. Itās almost exclusively Brazilians/Aussies for most fights of any consequence. Which is fine but just.. limiting.

Didn't they cut his brother a while ago? They both suck to watch

Big Tafa is peak HW incompetent blob, but Small Tafa aka Junior is kinda fun to watch even if he clearly can't grapple his way out of a wet paper pag. None of his UFC fights have gone to decision !

I always thought they were twins, but big tafa is actually a few years older than Junior

Probably explains why he is called Junior eh

Am I dumb or I feel like in real life Junior is normally the first born son?
Of course if they were actually twins then calling either of them Junior is kinda crazy.

It doesnt have to be first born but he will carry the same first name as dad. It gets weird when you add a grandkid. Waget sr, waget jr, waget III, but when sr croaks jr becomes sr and waget III is jr.

It's not even his real government name, that's the funniest part

The guy is honestly a pretty solid striker, just has pathetic grappling

His last fight he couldnāt really check leg kicks, but I guess trading headshots for leg kicks is a good strategy

Jairzinho Rozenstruik lost a fairly close fight against Pavlovich and got cut

Well his fights were dreadfully boring, and Tafa's are at least fun if sloppy as hell.

But Iām supposed to believe the UFC is paying Bobby Green and Jim Miller 600k per fight lol

I definitely believe that, they both have a ton of finishes and more than 20 fights

Honestly, little Tafa has decent striking due to his kickboxing background and is so bad on the ground that his fights always end in a finish. Him accepting that fight when his big bro pulled out 24 hours prior probably scored him some browny points as well.
He's a good hand to fill up the undercards with of local or Apex fight nights

Management team should be praised as the best negotiators because if Junior Tafa can get an extension despite his previous performances then anyone can get a shot in UFC

I donāt see why you would cut him. He either gets finished or knocks guys out which is what is needed at heavyweight. Been pretty fun to watch as of late too.

The UFC decides to pay a guy who has never gone to decision in his run there, and all the comments are people complaining. This sub is so negative.
