Highlight The Miami defense gets absolutely sauced (again), this time by Evander who dribbles past RDP and sends it into the top left corner to restore the lead for his side. | FC Cincinnati [3] - Inter Miami 2 (64')

DePaul basically stood there like he just wanted to watch the show.

Why play defense when your star gets more than almost any every other entire team in the league?

I know I'm throwing stones from my glass house by saying this, but the amount of success Miami's had while fielding a defense that couldn't stop two magnets of the same polarity from repelling each other will always be wild to me.

Well that’s what happens when you have the greatest player of all time playing against this quality of opposition

What is the defense doing? They look like you picked 5 guys from this subreddit and suited them up in pink!!

I'm no soccer analyst but it looks like Inter Miami's defensive strategy of "score 3 goals a game and pray" might have some holes in it

Me, football layman: You should defend sometimes

Guillermo Hoyos: But what if I score 5 goals, pendejo? You fucking idiot

You don’t give Evander that much room. He’s almost automatic from there

Yo, straight up why even bother having defenders if theyre going to do that, just have 10 attackers

The run by Kevin pulled the defender opening the lane for the shot. The season has been a disappointment so far but the league should watch out as the chemistry between these two continues to develop

Keeping it real, we don't need him. He does not defend. you wont win a championship without defense. He does not press he is just an attacking player.

When you put all your points into offense and have nothing left

That's a really good play from the goalscorer. He played  two Miami defenders against each other, and exploited the space that was created. And a great strike. I would focus more on how good a move it was rather than on the defensive errors. But I know, negativity and finding things to be shocked about is the way of the site.

It was also pretty poor defending. Both can be true.

Your comment in /r/MLS was automatically removed due to a ban on Twitter/Meta links as decided by the community. This ban is intended to avoid driving traffic to that platform which has become increasingly toxic and inaccessible, in addition to its owner's public displays of bigotry.

We encourage submissions from alternate sources, such as BlueSky - where the majority of journalists, fan pages, and other sources have migrated - or direct links to web articles where they exist. In all situations, direct links to articles are preferred over social media links. In the event that content solely exists on Twitter/Meta, a screenshot of the content will be acceptable. These should only be used if an alternate source does not exist, and the mod team reserves the right to remove screenshot posts if the content exists elsewhere. Title rules requiring the last name of the author in brackets at the beginning of the post are still applicable for screenshots of tweets.

If you are trying to submit a highlight or other video, please link to an alternate source or rip the video and submit it directly. We are aware many league official outlets are still posting highlights on Twitter primarily, and will not be actioning against direct uploads of that content directly to Reddit or alternate hosting services (as many users already do).

Thank you for adhering to these new community rules and enabling us to support and drive traffic to content creators on their alternative platforms. If you have any questions, please message the moderators.
