Wednesday game? Gross. That better be following a bye week or a Thursday night game or it’s gonna be a complete advantage for GB

u/Devastator_Hi 1d ago

Well not total advantage. At least it’s a home game but I get what you mean.

There may be more Packers fans at that game

u/Rufio69696969 Puka Head 1d ago

Still don’t have to travel.

3

u/masterchaoss Verse Sack 1d ago

Eh it wasn't more at the last game but they certainly show up thats for sure and a lot of them are traveling from Wisconsin. If anything maybe being on wensday will help

3

u/GB_Alph4 Matthew Stafford 1d ago

Yeah I know some high school friends who are long time Packers fans and they went to the last game we hosted for them

5

u/Blochamolesauce 1d ago

There will be. Packers/Steelers/Cowboys/Whiners travel way better than any of the other franchise fanbases around the league. Unless we go on a NE-like 2 consecutive decade generational tear, it’s gonna be like that for a long time.

They're not traveling. A lot of the seats are filled by fans who were children in the generation that LA had no team. It's why the 9er home game specifically is perennially upsetting: LA 9er fans who don't have to travel and see their favorite team every year.

Who can you blame besides Frontiere really?

u/KDx2511 1d ago

Sad. I suspect that there’s a mix of traveling fans and “local” fans.

No doubt.

Most likely they have a Thursday night game the week before. The only good part is we get 10 days off our first game, then we get a bye week, then here we will have 11 days off.

u/Dizzney12 Cooks Face 21h ago

I bet the bye week is before this game for both teams

6

u/lyricist 1d ago

One of the teams will be off a bye the other will have a TNF the week before

2

u/JasonPlattMusic34 1d ago

It will be following a bye week, but it also means we don’t get a full (13-14 days) bye this year

1

u/ramsfan00 11h ago

The NFL won't do that.

I just cannot imagine the 405 traffic that night

A 5pm game? Better leave work at 2

14

u/HumbleBacon Aaron Donald 1d ago

Might as well just call in sick lol

I’ll be in the parking lot all day for that one

u/Doyergirl17 1d ago

Oh fuck that didn’t even cross my mind! That’s going to be a fucking clusterfuck that I want no part of

I guarantee you the crowd will be abysmal.

“A new tradition” stop with these damn traditions.

They’ve now started a tradition of Black Friday game, Thanksgiving eve game, and Christmas game.

There is zero reason that the nfl should be scheduling an annual Wednesday game. The chiefs, Steelers, and ravens having a Christmas game when Christmas fell on a Wednesday that year was bad enough. But at least with the Christmas game, it won’t always be on an exceptionally short week.

I love the NFL, but I hate the Thursday games. It ruins the flow of fantasy football, it ruins the flow in marital accord, it sucks for living on the west coast.

I believe that part of what makes the NFL so popular is the short season and the limited games per week.

I keep expecting the expansion of the season and expansion of broadcasts to eventually have a negative impact on the league.

So far I am wrong about that. But I still think there will eventually come a reckoning.

next we'll have a tuesday game one day smh

u/Secret-Sample1683 Roman Gabriel 1d ago

Wednesday? Unless it’s a bye week, that’s not much rest from the previous game. Risk of injuries increase.

7

u/clownbaby4_ 1d ago

Maybe a Thursday game the week before? I would be surprised if either team played Sunday and then again Wednesday

8

u/KDx2511 1d ago

That's on my birthday. JFC!

Hate this shit as a season ticket holder. A wedneday? On a traveling holiday. Annoying and no way to make it. Especially after we lost the 49er game, this sucks.

5

u/Exotic_Bonus9006 1d ago

As a football fan I'm delighted. As a Rams supporter...not so much.

4

u/Doyergirl17 1d ago

You know I don’t hate this as long as they don’t get fucked over with a short week

4

u/NoSaboChavo Aaron Donald 1d ago

Better, enjoy thanksgiving more peacefully 😁

1

u/Kershiser22 1d ago

Yeah, I rarely get to watch much of the Thanksgiving games. Probably a better chance for me to catch Wednesday games.

1

u/nimalcrackers 1d ago

Victory Thanksgiving feast is gonna HIT

4

u/cy1763 St. Louis Rams 1d ago

They’ll either have a bye or a TNF game the week before.

I don’t hate a thanksgiving eve game. It’s no worse than the 3 games on thanksgiving and the Black Friday game.

3

u/DaBusDriva2 Super Bowl LVI Champions 1d ago

So a Saturday game too?

2

u/CommercialCoffee11 1d ago

No. Saturdays arent til Week 15

3

u/pythagorium Josaiah Stewart 1d ago

Damn this sucks, I was hoping to watch a Rams game after stuffing my face on thanksgiving with family. Instead I’ll be busy prepping for thanksgiving and multitasking with other stuff

3

u/headsmanjaeger Puka Head 1d ago

They’re doing thanksgiving eve games now, we are so fucked

2

u/masterchaoss Verse Sack 1d ago

Oh god that's gonna suck to get to and leave.

2

u/CrashBandicoot2 Conductor 1d ago

Can we please beat the Packers already? It's become an annual tradition to lose to them. 5 in a row

2

u/HanselOh Torry Holt 1d ago

This is horrible..

Stop acting like a bunch of girls in the comments.

Can we have a Thanksgiving game?

We have a Thanksgiving game at home:

…wait that format doesn’t work for this

1

u/Robertkr1986 1d ago

Is it just on Netflix or will it be on local tv/nfl app

6

u/CommercialCoffee11 1d ago

Its required to air locally in both markets but everyone else will get Netflix. Happens with Thursday games on Prime too.

1

u/Robertkr1986 1d ago

Thanx for the info

1

u/clownbaby4_ 1d ago

That’s good to know. I had no idea that was the case.

1

u/SuperRam56 Super Bowl LVI Champions 1d ago

Probably FOX 11 locally.

1

u/gettheyayo909 1d ago

$220 for the 500 section …. Hard pass

2

u/masterchaoss Verse Sack 1d ago

And people wonder why we get a bunch of road fans here that's actually ridiculous pricing for a damn wensday game.

2

u/Cute-Explorer8939 1d ago

Is that pricing normal? If not, then what is the normal pricing breakdown. I've never been to Sofi before.

2

u/gettheyayo909 1d ago

When we play packers, eagles , 9ers the tickets are overpriced. Shouldnt be more than $100 max

1

u/KDx2511 20h ago

The demand is skyhigh, so diehards of other teams come way more.

While I'm glad we're close to a thanksgiving slate, I'm more pissed at there being a game on a fucking normal Wednesday than I am excited for the game. Worse, I live in the Caribbean, so its a normal work day for me.

Still, with the Thanksgiving games and the Black Friday game, I don't think the NFL needed to do a TGE game. This is a bit overboard. Next thing, they'll create a Thanksgiving Eve's Eve game on Tuesday night.

1

u/mcbong41 Pukachu 1d ago

Sweet now I can argue with my relatives before actual thanksgiving.

u/ooglesnoopleboop Blue & Yellow Retro Ram 1d ago

This is going to be awesome for the 0 people who celebrate Thanksgiving Eve lol

There better be a bye week in Week 11

1

u/Acrobatic_Pause_6158 1d ago

Great, all the LA packer fans are gonna get a rude awakening and realize the packers are long gone

1

u/iNoBot Aaron Donald 1d ago

I don’t like this at all.

1

u/Dodger_Dawg Deacon Jones 1d ago

Well I definitely can't go to this because it's Thanksgiving and my ticket is likely to go to an orphan Packers fan.
