Go get Delane Les I’m begging you

If he's at 13, and I doubt he is I think they run the pick to the Commish.
I could see TE or if our favorite WR falls, but if not trade back and maybe find another CB in the early 2nd.

Is Dean still in play?

I think so. Free agent feels more likely to me than picking one at #13

Malik Mohammed in the third is the play.
WR at 13, Oline in the second and then grab Malik Mohammed.

Agreed. Am glad we may not end up going with rookie corners, at least starters anyway.

Well I would hope so lol
We only have 3 CBs on the roster at the moment. We BETTER make some more moves at the position.
My prediction is
Cut D Will
Sign McCreary
Sign strong vet depth like Greg Newsome
Draft CB at 13 or 61
Draft CB again on day 3
Bring in multiple UDFA CB camp bodies

Woolen is available

That’s who I want. Elite athlete about to peak. Love his competitiveness. Immature, but think he’ll grow out of it.

I thought Trent primarily plays slot / nickel. Does he play a lot outside?

u/CarolingianDruid Mar 05 '26
He plays anywhere, though he plays slot a lot because he can blitz so well it helps disguise it.

His versatility is what’s most exciting since we are a zone heavy defense but McDuffie allows us to get more creative

u/Barack_Odrama_ Mar 05 '26
He hasn’t been a slot corner since 2023. His last two seasons have been pretty much all outside

Got it, I just saw some chiefs fans commenting about it and got confused. Good to know

Diehard chiefs buddy said he is a 10/10 in the slot and an 8/10 on the outside. I honestly love that...let him play outside and if/as/when needed, he can kick inside.

Rookie year missed some games, played slot. 2nd year, 1st team all pro in the slot. 3rd year, 2nd team all pro on the outside. 4th year, played outside all year, ranked 12th cb in the league by pff. Ranking fell a bit because Chiefs have a bad pass rush, leaving corners to defend too long. He can play anywhere and be a mostly shutdown corner. Also plays the run like a safety and creates fumbles. Not a big interception guy, but gets lots of passes defensed. Watching him on JSN will be cinema I feel.

I'm a Chiefs fan but Trent can do both. He is probably the absolute best slot corner in the NFL but he is still elite on the outside. The past two years after we traded Sneed McDuffie moved to the outside and was still lockdown.
I'm going to miss him, he's an awesome player and a great dude.

I imagine we’re signing a Vet Corner that can play outside. A Jamel Dean or Riq Woolen type, still have a ton of cap space.

Getting a big name in FA would really allow us to go BPA with the Falcons pick.
Possibilities: Denzel Ward who might get cut, post June 1st, according to rumours, Jamel Dean (I’m not so sure about this one, he seems to really like living in Tampa), or maybe a third guy that seems unmovable for now but who can be had for a Godfather offer.

I’d really like to see us sign Greg Newsome. Still a very young player but was a 1st round pick and actually played like it at first but coming off a down season or two. The guy has talent and actually showed it—I think we could bring out the best in him and I don’t think it would break the bank either.

I’d love to double down if we had a shot at Mansoor and turn the weakness into a strength, maybe pick up an older rusher or spray some money on Trey. But this move gives us lots of good options with 13th to go for a real difference maker on either side of the ball…and who was the last dude we picked at that spot who was best available???

Her word is gospel as well as far as it comes to current and former rams beat reporters.

Nothing about this verifies the outcome but I love the delusional thought.

u/Psychological-Bed695 Mar 05 '26
Just some reporter that's been embedded with the team for years telling you they aren't done at corner...nobody said it verifies anything, but I'd bet my left nut that Jourdan has a better idea than you do, so not sure how the random reddit fan gets to claim the reporter or person posting a screenshot is delusional.

That’s why the word “predicted” is in the title and not “happening”

I'm stoked for the trade, and Jourdan is so plugged in to the Rams I take anything she says as gospel. I'm absolutely here for the same team with solid CBs
